Before you buy: test your own file in the trial
Run the free trial on the actual damaged file first. The trial scans and shows a full preview of what it can rescue. If your emails, contacts and calendar entries appear in that preview, the license will save them. If they don't, you've spent nothing.
This matters more than usual because Stellar's refund policy is strict. It excludes buyers who didn't try the evaluation version first, buyers who won't work through troubleshooting with Stellar's support team, systems that don't meet the requirements, and refunds for part of a bundle. Several recent Trustpilot reviewers were refused refunds after the repair didn't work for them (quoted below).
Two practical points: Outlook must be installed to save the results (scanning and previewing work without it), and close Outlook before running the tools. One buyer also reports trouble converting a 13 GB OST file with 32-bit Outlook, so if your Office is 32-bit, test with the trial before paying.

Repair corrupt PST files, including very large ones
Stellar Repair for Outlook Technician, the toolkit's main tool, scans a damaged PST (or OST) file and rebuilds the mailbox: emails, attachments, contacts, calendars, tasks, notes and journals. It also finds permanently deleted items still inside the file and shows them in red, and you can tick "Do not Recover Deleted Items" if you don't want them back. Convert an OST file you can't open into a PST
Stellar Converter for OST Technician opens an OST file without the Exchange account it belongs to, which is the usual problem when a mailbox has been deleted from the server, a user has left, or a profile was rebuilt. It extracts every item, deleted ones included, and saves it as a PST you can open in any Outlook. It handles encrypted OST files and IMAP OST files, and its Batch Conversion button converts several OST files in one run.

Stellar Toolkit for Outlook's repair and conversion tools give you five ways to save a rescued mailbox: a new PST, your existing Outlook profile, a Microsoft 365 mailbox, a live Exchange server, or other formats (MSG, EML, RTF, HTML, PDF, DBX and MBOX). While saving to PST you can also split the output by size or compact it by compressing or removing attachments, and filters let you include or leave out items by email address or date range, or skip the Junk and Deleted Items folders. Split an oversized PST by date, size or email address

Shrink a PST without splitting it

- Select the file: choose a mailbox from the Outlook profile list, browse to the PST or OST, or use Find to search the drive for it.
- Scan: click Repair (or Convert). For big files, Save Scan stores the results in a DAT file so you can finish later, even on another PC.
