The app inside is VideoProc Converter AI version 8.12 (build 2026091801), and it contains native Apple silicon code as well as Intel code. VideoProc's Mac store listed the lifetime license at $89.95 on October 20, 2026. We couldn't load the order page from our location to confirm the final checkout price, and we didn't run conversions or AI enhancement ourselves.
Before you buy
VideoProc licenses are platform-specific: a Mac license won't activate the Windows version. The lifetime license covers one Mac. VideoProc's own store often runs a sale price (the lifetime Mac license showed $54.95 there), so compare the price at checkout. The AI upscaling and frame interpolation need a reasonably powerful Mac and take far longer than a plain conversion, so test them on your own clips during the trial, which allows five watermark-free AI exports.

Features
Fast conversion with GPU acceleration
VideoProc Converter AI converts between MP4, HEVC, MKV, MOV, AVI, ProRes and hundreds of other formats, including GoPro 5.3K and 4K 120 fps footage, DJI 10-bit HDR and camera log video. A Hardware Acceleration Engine uses the Mac's GPU (Apple silicon, Intel, AMD or NVIDIA) to speed things up. AI Super Resolution for video and photos
VideoProc Converter AI's Super Resolution upscales low-resolution, old or downloaded videos by 2x, 3x or 4x to HD or 4K, while reducing blur, noise, grain and compression artifacts. Image AI does the same for photos and AI art, up to 8K or 10K, and also restores faces in old portraits and colorizes black-and-white pictures.
Frame Interpolation and Stabilization

- Install and launch. Download the disk image, drag VideoProc Converter AI to Applications and open it.
- Register (after buying). Click Register at the bottom of the home screen and enter your email and license code.
- Pick a tool. Click Video Converter for conversion, compression and editing, or one of the AI tools for enhancement.
- Add files. Click Video or Video Folder, or drag clips into the window.
- Edit (optional). Use Cut, Crop, Subtitle, Effect, Rotate or Watermark under each clip.

Where it falls short
- AI tools are demanding. They need macOS 10.15 or later and at least 2 GB of RAM, and VideoProc warns they use far more memory and disk than a normal conversion. A Trustpilot reviewer notes the program "needs better than average hardware to properly upscale video to 4k."
- The downloader breaks from time to time. Several Trustpilot reviewers report downloads failing until an update or a fresh install fixed them, which is common for downloaders as sites change.
- License hiccups after big updates. One lifetime owner couldn't find where to enter the key after the AI upgrade, and another found the latest version stopped working with an old license until support helped.
