What Each Program Does
east-tec Eraser: privacy cleaning
east-tec Eraser erases browser history and cookies, traces from over 300 programs and previously deleted files, and wipes USB sticks, on a schedule if you like.
The east-tec Eraser dashboard (from an earlier 12.x release), part of the Total Security Plan.
east-tec InvisibleSecrets: encrypt and hide files
east-tec InvisibleSecrets encrypts files, hides them inside pictures, builds self-decrypting packages, locks applications and manages passwords.
east-tec SafeBit: encrypted drives
east-tec SafeBit creates AES-256 encrypted safes that open as drive letters and can be kept on USB drives or in cloud folders.
east-tec DisposeSecure: wipe whole drives
east-tec DisposeSecure erases entire hard drives from a bootable USB/CD, from Windows or over the network, with reports, for up to 30 PCs in this plan.
Who It's For, and Who Should Skip It
Good fit: small offices and privacy-minded home users who want cleaning, file encryption, encrypted drives and drive disposal from one vendor at one price.
- Skip it if you need only one program. Eraser alone ($39.95) or SafeBit alone ($29.95) costs less.
- Skip it if you only need Eraser plus one other. The two-program plans at $59.95 cover the common pairs.
- Skip it if you need actively developed encryption. InvisibleSecrets and SafeBit haven't been updated since 2013 and 2015.
Where it falls short
- Three of the four programs are old.
- Support complaints. Recent Trustpilot reviews say East-Tec's support is slow to reply.
What Users Say
Reviews of the included programs
AppTrap (Baron Yeung, September 29, 2025) rated east-tec Eraser 9 out of 10: "While east-tec Eraser might look dated, it’s a very strong program." East-Tec's own review pages quote CNET on InvisibleSecrets ("Encrypting a file was a piece of cake.") and DisposeSecure ("a powerful and competent tool"), and Softpedia on SafeBit ("One of the easiest softwares to work with."). We found no independent review of the bundle itself.
Trustpilot
East-Tec's Trustpilot page (east-tec.com) showed a TrustScore of 2.8 out of 5 from 7 reviews on October 31, 2026, and the reviews shown there are mostly about support. Bill Gates (2 stars, October 2025): "The sproduct itself is great, sadly this is let down by terrible support."
FAQs

Not as a bundle. Each of the four east-tec programs has its own 15-day, fully functional trial on East-Tec's site.

Yes. East-Tec sells its programs as yearly plans ("Yearly Subscription" at checkout) with a year of updates and support, and the plan renews each year unless you cancel it.

Remember that only Eraser is recent; try InvisibleSecrets, SafeBit and DisposeSecure in their trials before relying on them.
