How to make a booklet from one piece of paper
This video shows how to make a 4 page booklet from one piece of paper. It's more paper craft than pure origami. I like it because it's really quick to make and can be really useful when taking notes in a meeting or class or when jotting down lists of to-do's or groceries that you need to pick up on the way home.

before we get started I have a few
announcements some of you have noticed
that i've done an iphone related video
recently
don't worry i still love origami and
plan on doing a lot more videos but i do
have a new website called my iphone
exploits . com check it out if you get a
chance I'd also like to acknowledge that
I've gotten requests to do videos with
a4 paper recently because i live in the
u.s. I don't really have access to a4
paper so in this video in my next I'm
going to use eight and a half by 11 inch
office paper but you could easily use a4
paper instead we're going to start by
folding paper in half
hamburger style give it a nice crease
and then unfold
now we're going to flip this over and
fold in half hot dog style
give it a good crease and then unfold
just before the next step requires a
full two sides into the middle you can
use the right and left edge or you could
do the top and bottom edge it's up to
you i'm going to use the left and right
edge
ok now that we've got those edges folded
in towards the middle you can unfold and
see that there's this kind of zigzag
mountain valley pattern
from here we're going to take our
scissors and cut through the two middle
quarters along the horizontal crease
that we made earlier
after we make our cut unfold and you'll
notice that the paper naturally falls in
half
let it fall along that crease and then
pinch the sides together now give your
edges a nice crease
and here's your one piece booklet these
little booklets come in handy for
joining down quick notes to-do lists
grocery lists and well whatever else you
can think of i think you get the picture
