How To Make a Simple Paper Book

today I'm going to show you how to make
a beanie baby full and this is a cute
name for a small book that you can make
without any gluing or stapling using
just a single sheet of paper and a pair
of scissors
so to start with you need a sheet of
paper i usually use a sheet of paper
that's eight and a half by 11 inches and
then later you'll also need a pair of
scissors
so to start with
I usually turn my paper to landscape
mode like this and on a flat surface
I'll hold it down and I will fold it
I guess what some people call hot dog
style so my trick for folding it
carefully is to make sure you're on a
hard surface
line up the left and right corners and
then hold it down slide to the middle
and then while you're still holding at
the top
just use your finger to go out to the
edges and make sure that that's it has a
nice full done so he should end up with
a sheet of paper that looks like this
now you want to take this and fold it
over itself so you're folding it in half
and again a good way to do that is to
fold it down on a hard surface
line up the corners carefully
so they match up hold that down
press firmly down and then just slide
your finger down to the other end
still holding it at the top and slide
out to either edge and if you have a
pencil or something you can kind of make
sure that you have a good priest there
and both of these edges right
and next we want to go ahead and
turn the paper this way and fold it
again on top of itself
so again we're going to line up the
corner so that they are nice and neatly
lined up
hold it down firmly slide your finger to
the edge and then crease it
and again you can take a pencil and make
sure you have a nice sharp edge on the
folds
now if you unfold this paper
you should have a sheet of paper that
you started with
except now it has two four six eight
boxes
now the next step is to go ahead and
fold it in half
I guess what some people call hamburger
style and even though there's a crease
they're just go ahead and make the
corners lineup
well hold it and then breathe
kind of straighten these edges out and
so you have now a nice paper that just
folded this way and now you need your
scissors
so you take your scissors and if you
notice if you fold your paper so it's
this way you want to just make sure it's
close
if you notice this line is folded going
down right until this intersection where
these cross you're going to cut through
both sides and this is the side that has
the fold
you're going to cut from here all the
way down to where this fold meets is
perpendicular to these so you just put
your scissors over that and carefully
cut down until you reach that spot where
this fold process thing
and so now your paper should look like
this
and again if you unfold it
you have that same sheet of paper
except now there's a crease are cuts
right in the center you want to actually
fold it so it's this way and then as you
push the sides next to each other it
creates a diamont you want to go ahead
and push it together until those sides
touch and as you can see you kind of can
start to see the book and you're
basically done
you just need one so again you have the
full piece of paper fold it push these
sides together and then you're going to
need to recreate these folds and you
might need to make a few little
adjustments you want to make sure these
pages are aligned
as neatly as possible so again you can
take your pencil and kind of use it to
help you straighten these folds
I'm using some thick paper here so it's
a little bit more difficult but usually
i just use regular printer paper and
binder paper newsprint would work as
well and so then now what you have here
is a booklet that you made with no
staples no glue no sewing
if you take a larger sheet of paper you
can make a gb3 a giant beanie baby book
and here's one basically you take a
sheet of paper that the 11 x 17 and fold
exactly the same way you create a giant
beanie baby book so here's a geometry
101 and we have drawings and definitions
there you go
