hello everyone I wanted to give you a
quick demonstration of how you can
convert a PDF document to a word
document without any paid application
simply using your mac and the automator
tool that every mac comes with so here's
how you do it first you go to your
applications and find the automator
application when you open up the
automator application you want to tell
it that you want to build a application
so select that on the left-hand side
you'll want to select pdfs and then
extract PDF text you simply click and
drag that to the center console you can
specify that you wanted in rich text
format where you would like to save it
in this case i want to save it onto my
desktop and the output file name I want
to keep it as the same as the input file
name once I've done that I go to the
file menu and I hit save and i can now
named my application something that i
can remember it by PDF to word app make
sure that the file format is an
application on a workflow hit save and
you'll notice that when they close this
window you'll notice that this little
icon you're more this month this app
that you just built displays on your
desktop so what do you do next you find
the document to PDF that you want to
have converted i have one sample
document here which is a PDF i simply
click and drag this on to my application
give it a second as it goes out there
and scans and converts it
two seconds later you'll see that it is
shown here on your desktop name the same
but with an RTF rich text format file
extension the next thing that you want
to do is take that file click and drag
it over to your word document microsoft
word will then convert your entire
document that was in PDF to a word
document while keeping the same
formatting and that's it that's how you
go out there and convert a PDF document
to a word document using a little app
that you create for free on your Mac
