dbForge Studio for SQL Server v5.0.
With Source Control functionality, improved Data
Generator, enhanced Schema Compare and
Code Completion, the application has become yet
more functional and universal.
Start version-controlling SQL databases with new
Source Control feature.
The application supports all popular source control
systems, and allows to easily manage changes
and resolve conflicts in both database and working
folder.
Select any Source control system or working folder.
Specify Database folder.
Test connection.
Select any database.
Select database development model and click Link.
With Source Control Manager, you can commit
large volume of files and perform all essential source
control tasks.
After modifying database and refreshing Source
Control Manager, you can view and commit only
required changes.
Source Control Tasks are available for every single
object of the linked database and
allow to get instant access to all essential version-
control options.
The updated Data Generator delivers a bunch of
brand new basic and meaningful generators.
Now you can create you own user-defined
generators and generate data through the command
line.
Also, Data Generator functionality has been
enriched with matching for more intelligent table
mapping.
The feature includes a wide range or ready-to-use
generators for each column data type.
Besides, each of them can be modified and
completed according to your needs.
You will also find an impressive collection of Regular
Expression generators.
Now, database can be populated with impressive
quantity of images in just a few seconds.
The generated data can be inserted into database
immediately or saved to a file for the future use.
Writing complex scripts with the updated Code
Completion functionality becomes simple as that.
The feature has been enhanced with support for 15+
statements, UPDATE statement expansion,
custom alias mapping and SQL Refactoring.
Type UPDATE and press Tab,
and the UPDATE statement with the WHERE condition is ready.
Set up alias for any DB object up to your needs by
setting conditions and mask in the Options window.
With new dbForge Studio, SQL Refactoring
becomes a pleasure!
Now the feature includes the preview changes
option.
Select an object, press F2, rename it, press Enter
and get a working result.
Schema Compare functionality has been powered
by the Source Control and Script Folder support.
You can compare not only live databases, but also
source control revisions.
Note, that Schema Compare document allows to
view both general and detailed changes.
You can also create Script Folder and compare
database with it.
