in Word 2010 you can convert text into a
table
this is quite simple for example suppose
you have text that contains the values
for a table to start you'll need to
format the text in order for the text to
be correctly displayed in the table you
need to indicate where the text will be
divided into rows and columns use a
separator character to indicate where I
new column begins in this example we'll
use commas put commas wherever the text
should be divided into columns then you
need to define where the text will
divide it in two rows by default this is
done with paragraphs each paragraph will
be placed in a separate row
thus you can use the enter key on the
keyboard to divide the text into the
desired number of rows now to create a
table select the text that will be used
to populate the table cells then go to
the insert tab and expand the table menu
to convert the selected text into a
table choose the convert text to table
command here you can specify the tables
autofit behavior in the separate texts
at section check the commas item to
create the table click the ok button the
text will be converted to a table
note that the separator characters will
not be displayed in the table they will
be automatically removed when the table
is created
