welcome back to my channel I have
wonderful and her video for you today
I've been doing is syria's going through
a lead a to the of ideas of things to
put in your harder so far I've done part
sworn into which have got up to the
letter C and today I want to jump into
the letter D real quick this is great
for new planners if you are just
starting out to give you ideas of how
and the many ways you can use your
printer but if you are an experienced
adult may be dismissed this list but see
it as an opportunity to take here
already good in either refreshes you
know can get a facelift or even become
damaged more organized in other ways and
other areas as well so let's jump right
in the first thing on the list it D
decorating does not mean decorating your
planner pages and making them pretty
well though that is certainly perfectly
acceptable this is referring i think
more needs a lift in mind though I know
ok sorry I stopped myself for this
decorating is referring to a list like
this where you would write out items
that you want to purchase for your home
and I maybe you're expecting mean you're
putting together your baby's nursery
maybe your redecorating maybe a
remodeling your kitchen any number of
things like that and you just have a
list and of course instead of a stain
books you have a list of items you want
to purchase and I realized I didn't have
a list like this right now I have a list
kind of lie I've clicked it and here you
get that loose I have a little time
right now I haven't covered it with
washi tape to really believe yet we need
blinds for our master bedroom Qurans New
Yorker in some rooms don't have any
friends at all for our whole house and
my six-year-old and four-year-old share
bunk that share room and they're both
bad and they don't have coordinating
quotes or anything like that so that's
been a dream of my husband and I
purchased those for now we haven't done
it sometimes you need to have a list and
you can save up for things or maybe with
every paycheck you can say you know we
only have enough money to buy blinds for
this money will have to save this for
the next or maybe you have to set aside
a little from every paycheck for six
months before him purchase matching
quilts and things like that so having a
list of items can be really helpful and
then of course being able to cross them
out you can also put paint samples like
the paint chips if you've painted a row
and you really want to like if I'm in
the market for the matching quote I can
have a symbol of their wall color and I
if I'm in the store I can actually hold
it you know how my planner up next to a
particular quilt or something like that
to see if it is in fact a coordinating
or a matching color so there's anything
you can do that could be like a
scrapbook style with alternative ideas
and styles printed off from Pinterest
cut out for magazines doodle hand-drawn
or you could have just a simple boring
boring lists like mine is here
of things you want to collect for your
home this is also nice because if you're
out here in a thrift store I always like
to look at list like this
before I walk into the thrift store
because you're not you know if you're
looking for quilts there's not like a
quilt action in SE goodwill or thrift
store you have to kind of remind
yourself refresh your mind with the
items on the list before you go in and
whatever they may happen to have made it
will suit your needs may be also we're
heading into the summer we just garage
sale season and and just keeping an eye
out for things they grabbed sale of
course it just depends on on your
personality and what you like to
purchase a used to purchase new but it
helps to have the list with you and of
course my planner is also my wallet so
this particular one goes with me all the
time if you have like a house management
are home keeping binder I would have
this list there but then I will also
have a copy of this list in your purse
in your smaller planner that you travel
with even in your wallet because more
than likely you're not going to carry
your you know maybe your huge binder
home management things upside of the
house and I find that this list is
really beneficial to have you at all
times could you never know when you may
see something that's perfect and want to
talk or reference something so
decorating I find that to be helpful to
be useful in to help you to be frugal in
to save money
ok the next thing on the D List is a
doctor appointment and I would also add
in dentist because honestly they're kind
of the same difference at least to me as
far as planning now first off I want to
say a little caveat for sure how I plan
for its schedule it some of you may have
your own medical needs or your child may
have medical means for you need an
entire section to track the guns to
track medication to write down notes
before you go to the doctor or to even
have a place to rate notes while you're
at the doctor to be able to reference
when your home then if if you have a
medical me in that way I think you
should create an entire section and you
probably already do there's all sorts of
insert you can find on Etsy or you can
just use blank pages kind of like this
or no pages and have it created for
yourself I do not need that at the time
so I just wanted to share that real
quickly and show you how I do plan when
I'm scheduling visits for the doctor or
the dentist and again I used the exact
same method so I don't like show you
both it's because of the same thing so I
actually have here where I have a doctor
appointment for myself this week I like
to use a little box and that particular
one is from among the kit from planning
made perfect you can use different kinds
I know
plan with honest sometimes will have
smaller boxes and you can cut then if
you like this is the paper Lee Bowtique
you can use the smaller box is full
hatch Designs has smaller ones many
shops were happy and I like how they
make an appointment stick out someone
actually plugging it into my mom that's
usually when I do I feel like a doctor's
appointment is kind of my big thing for
the day I have for young kids it's gonna
be my most time consuming thing for each
day to get my kids out the door
especially if they have to come with me
and get to an appointment so that's how
I actually market in my calendar but how
do I go about scheduling and I have a
great example rate here because if you
can read this now
June 3rd at 12:50 both of my sons have a
doctor visit I was able to coordinate it
so they can both be there at the same
day so when I go into this appointment
and I'm getting ready to leave Levi if
my newborn so he'll have another
appointment probably in a month or two
and I'll want to schedule it right then
and there so I will actually pull out my
planner while I'm standing there and I
will open it up to July I will grab my
sticky notes from the back or I also
have them in various places on the backs
of dividers in different spots but I
find out what I'm doing doctors visit to
this is the most helpful because I can
have my calendar spread open and be able
to write it down and what I will do is
look and see if there's either a note or
already decorated in filled in and make
sure I'm not double booking anything and
I will read it down on this sticky and
police said in my mom so that's fairly
simple and straightforward and easy way
to plan ahead whether you write it in
the boxes because perhaps you don't
decorate and he wanted to write it and
if you do like to decorate or keep
things tidy then you can always you know
you like a placeholder until you're
ready to plug things into your month and
then this also works perfectly because
we have dentist appointments coming up I
think they're actually in June and I
need to reschedule them to July but the
point is when I go to my dentist visit
in July I may not be scheduling our
follow-up appointments until 2017 my
only half the calendar pages through
December so what I do when I don't have
upcoming months is one of two things you
can either have a piece of paper here
and this is just the back side of a
holiday list but you can have a blank
piece of paper here and you just label
it
future planning and then anytime you
have to book something
thing or you know you have attacked that
has to be done like schedule yearly
physical and you want to write it down
for a month you do not have in an
upcoming year you just put on your
future planning page you can use a
sticky you know or you can actually
handle rate it doesn't matter if they're
in chronological order because the idea
is this column November or December when
you're getting your new inserts and
you're starting to get ready to plug in
information to your new calendar you
referenced and actually you plug each
item into your calendar
you can cross it and so does not matter
order it doesn't matter if you just her
handwriting things as they come up or he
using sticking know you can do whatever
you like I don't usually keep a future
page what I would do instead is lame
idea I would write you know dentist
appointment january 5th 2 p.m. and I
would put the names of all of us who
have a dentist appointment and then I
would actually just to get my December
page because again come December or even
November when is when I would start
getting my new insert and I would have
the information here so it's not on the
crack today but it would be there and I
could transfer when I got my new insert
and I would probably have the mid
December anyways and I would probably
have then
January at least in my planner even
those not the new year yet because in
December you're you're looking ahead
already to January and maybe even
February to schedule thing I hope that
made sense it should have been fairly
simple and in its just a matter of what
you like doing better if you decorate if
you don't decorate and getting it on the
page so I counted as the same thing for
doctor appointments and dentist ok so
you've got it in your mom you've
scheduled out your time it's really
important to make sure in your weeks
that you're doing a good job marking it
as well so here is this week
member I have a doctor appointment I
happen to be using this kit from
planning made perfect which is this kid
here and I like that I have all the
extra pieces so that way I can keep
adding to my week as things come up as I
use one of their appointment sticker one
of her appointment stickers for the
appointment has again it's going to be
the bigger thing in my day so I usually
use the bigger sicker maybe even a half
boxer quarterbacks let me show you I
think these are planner Kate they have a
picture of a little doctor and a little
banner and you can write and the
information see if I have anymore cuz I
just had a newborn baby so we've had
time to doctor's appointments and he was
under way for a while so we were coming
in for extra appointments and not as
well to ensure that he was being healthy
so here again again I think this is
planar Kate a doctor sticker I think we
have anymore we're here I just use a
little kinda quarter of oxide you know
my son had a doctor's appointment and
and was believed he was born so that's
how I get it into my weeks or you know
my week on two pages are your daily make
sure you're carrying over the same
information and then I always plug and
any associated tasks are to do's into
maybe a sticking now that you put on
your page in this particular spread I
have a paper in the middle of my so much
crafting insert this is a week on one
page in the other side as always this
blank grid and I you can turn into
anything and then I also felt like this
week I needed to insert one of these
habit trackers and so this is not how it
comes but I have inserted into the
center for some extra information I
needed but back to so it's important to
schedule the appointment in your week or
your daily of you but then also to
include any tasks such as high as you
know get a sitter if you need to get a
sitter for some of your kids maybe you
need to gather insurance information
maybe you need to have cash on hand her
copay maybe you need to bring your child
immunization card maybe you need to wrap
friends some notes for medical
information or questions include part of
planning for a doctor's appointment
coming out would be including all of
that information so you can have a
section for that you could put all that
information on one lucky no one you know
just random notepad list that you have
nearby maybe it's important information
again like an insurance card and you
want to make sure it's in your wallet or
in your planner and gathering anything
necessary at that time as well and one
last little tip I get a lot of times
that people are like wow you're so busy
with for young ka
how do you do it all and honestly it is
hard to remember that it always looks
good on social media but one of the
things that I do that helps us function
really well I'm almost never late even
with for young kids my kids are 6 for 18
months I think my toddler is and a
newborn who is like six weeks or seven
weeks fourth baby I don't even know how
old ideas and yet I am rarely late in
part of that is because when I write
down doctors appointment especially I
always rape the time 10 to 15 minutes
earlier so if I was to get a
confirmation call from my doctor it is
most likely at 10:45 or 1050 of my
actual appointment time but from the
start when I'm plugging it into my month
hopes were nice but those post-it notes
when I'm writing it on a sticky note and
putting it in my monthly calendar how
they showed right here I always
automatically rate the time after that
incident by keeping 10 to 15 minutes
early and even though I know in my head
that I have more time than this when I'm
getting ready to leave the house to drop
my kids there to feed the baby on time
so I can leave on time whether he's
coming with me or not that kind of thing
I always treated as if this is the
actual start time so I'm automatically
given myself a buffer in my ability to
get out the door because even if I am a
great planner and i actually getting my
kids out the door on time I know that
you know ten minutes before we have to
get in the car that we have to be
putting our shoes on and 10 minutes
before that we need to be going to the
bathroom and 10 minutes before that I
need to give the morning that they're
going to have to stop what they're
playing you know I have a system like
back in place even though that's a great
system I give myself plenty of time you
never know when
the baby's gonna have a blowout or
somebody's shoe is gonna go missing and
it's unexpected when your gonna hit
traffic or every single red light and
things like that that you can't plan for
I've actually plan for because I've
written down the time early and it kinda
hot sale would you like 10 to 15 minutes
and so if I was gonna procrastinate and
pretend like oh this isn't the start
time I still have plenty of time to have
10 minutes are doing a fifteen I will
never know the full little goofy track I
play by myself that I know this is early
but I don't remember exactly how much
early because when I wrote it down I can
pick from 10 to 15 minutes early so I
hope that kind of made sense and if
you're struggling to get places on time
whether you have kids or whether you
don't it can be a struggle and that's
one of the way it that I always on time
and usually early for things and it's so
nice to be early because then you can
sit in the car for a minute take a deep
breath or you can walk in and sit down
at the doctors office you can get a
drink
go to the bathroom you can check your
phone and it's so nice to be early we
should never be scared or annoyed at
being early because it's very relaxing
and I can get you prepared for the
appointment for the meeting or whatever
it is so that is the letter D I didn't
think I would get past it today and I
did not think you guys SO much for
subscribing and all of the nice comments
about this series I'm so glad it
practical obviously I have pretty pages
the day of combined into stickers but I
never want to stop using my planner is
that important that's the key and it
truly is my brain and I was somebody
mentioned in one of the comments they
call their plainer than that I think
that's awesome so my plan and mags and
the until they do what I'm supposed to
obey my planner because I'm the one
ultimately who decides what's going on
and it helps me get my my day done
you'll accomplish check things off my to
do list that helps me from going crazy
and I never would get done early next
week or part will be in the letter thank
