Hello everyone.This is Roby1Kanobie
This is the Meta Report
As per the usual, we would be looking at one game reviewing one map
and checking out the current standings of all the gold league teams
Today's game will be , B-Gaming Versus SuperNoobs
Set 1 B-Gaming attacking on Himmelsdorf
Take a rather unusual line up with 1 Type 4 heavy and one tortoise
SuperNoobs setting up at the standard defensive positions and
B-gaming sending 2 of its FV 215b on top of the hill to provide covering fire
While a Conga line of tanks , standard strategy to accelerate the progression of the Type 4 Heavy and the tortoise through the maps
Moving to a capping position,where the type 4 Heavy is sacrificed in order to provide cover for the IS-4
and the Tortoise would protect the IS-4 from being rushed
Unfortunately this does not work as intended as the IS-4 from SuperNoobs easily penetrates the tortoise
reducing its HP and taking yet another tank from B-Gaming
This and the sacrifice of the Type 4 heavy inevitably leads to the loss of B-Gaming
In This situation , we see that throwing away one tank in order to protect the base capper rarely pays off
and in the end you are left with one less tank versus the enemy
SuperNoobs take set one 1-0
Set 2 B-Gaming defending
Take a more usual if somewhat light lineup
B-Gaming actively tries to contest the hill sending three tanks to fight the 50B
The 50B sensing this though, backs down and does not engage the three tanks
SuperNoobs then Re-groups then does a full out assault on cap with the IS-4 and the Waffle covering the flanks
B-Gaming with two tanks watching cap number 1
has to scramble back to cap number 2 to try to reset with the clock ticking down taking heavy losses on the way back
This ( B-Gaming's Light lineup ) on heavy map and
SuperNoob's ability to focus fire tanks down contributes to the win of SuperNoobs
SuperNoobs takes Set 2
Second
Second map Set 3 on Ghost Town, B-gaming bringing in an Artillery piece instead of the conventional setup that SuperNoobs brings
B-Gaming sets up a defensive formation
around its artillery essentially denying cap 1 from the enemy
SuperNoobs knowing the danger of the enemy artillery decides instead to play it safe and hide inside the town
opting to stay hidden
while they manoeuvre around pushing out together
and later focusing firing
the central position of the map
where they rout the enemies
all the while denying the backup support that B-Gaming needs
After taking care of the central position,
SuperNoobs then proceeds to finish off the rest of the team
SuperNoobs focused and speedy attack essentially denied the enemy artillery any shots
and making it easy for them to clean up the rest of B-Gaming
The line up for set 4 is pretty standard , except for B-Gaming taking a T-57 instead of an AMX 50 B
Which is pretty unconventional
B-Gaming starts the game by sending 3 of its tanks straight to cap number 1
while a holding force protects the cappers flanks in town
SuperNoobs reacts by sending FV215B down the A line and maintaining the conquerors there to reset the cap
B-Gaming realising they cannot cap the base any more decide to push all in sending their T-54s into heavies along with the rest of their team
Unfortunately, they push into the mass of SuperNoob team
With SuperNoobs able to focus them as they come back
and NTLOC locking down the Waffle E-100
Essentially preventing him from accessing the fight and joinining in
A brawl then ensues with ulitmately SuperNoob's autoloaders able to go out and reclip and come back and finish off the rest of B-Gaming's Tanks
Set number 5 on Prokhrovka
B-Gaming trying again an unconventional tactic by bringing in a M46 Patton instead of a second T-54
Both teams move over to contest cap number 2
With NTLOC doing a very risky scouting round
B-Gaming tries to capitalize by getting the Batchat
but is caught in the crossfire as
SuperNoobs now controls the hill
The M46 Patton being as unarmoured as it is being cut down in no time
B-Gaming deciding they have lost the advantage in the cap 2 area decides to try to cross the bridge to the cap 1 area
B-Gaming initially wins the engagement by killing off the batchat
But loses a lot of HP in the process
But with the FV 215Bs containing with cover fire, the rest of SuperNoobs team has time to come back
Sensing their immediate advantage while two of their tanks were away
SuperNoobs rushes across and engages the opposition splitting its forces and taking out three of B-Gaming's tanks
in a wonderful show of decisive action
The 2 seperated mediums are now easy pickings for the 5 of SuperNoobs tanks
who push over the hill together and seal the deal
SuperNoobs showing again once more that quick decisive action can really change the face of the battlefield
Now onto Today's map
This week we will be reviewing Himmelsdorf and the current meta on this map
As in all tournament games ,the map is played in assault mode
With one cap point near the original cap point at the north
and the other one on the railroad
Attacking starting point in red and defending starting point in green
we will now review the basic strategy for defending your base
These are the first two key positions that you would have to defend
As they guard both caps and prevents the enemy from coming in unnoticed
Next, is an excellent hull down position which you can protect the northern cap from
These are the three positions we have consistently seen tanks defend at
you can then allocate the remainder of your tanks to different positions depending on where you want to best defend
These tanks can move back and forth within the battle to engage the enemy and defend the base
When attacking , you should expect the enemy to have tanks at these three positions
Most teams tend not to go for the railroad track, as the loss of HP to get into position makes it impractical at best
So, we will review the basic town approach
In which, most teams send their main force down the 7 line
With cover fire from the hill if necessary , this cover fire essentially denies the enemy from shooting across
and chipping away at your HP while you get into position
as well as provide intelligence on any force that could be at the hill
These are the basic strategies for getting into position, what you find later would determine your next course of action
whether you would go for 1 cap or the other one depending on where you see the mass of their force
or you could go for both caps as you try to divert the bulk of their force while capping from behind
