hello everyone today i'm going to show
you how to use
data newman access repair to recover
corrupt
access databases now when your microsoft
access databases
you know your mdb or accdb
access files are corrupted or damaged
and you can't open them normally
you can use data newman access repair to
scan the files
and recover the data from them as much
as possible
before we begin one thing to note is
that before recovering any corrupt or
damaged
access database files we're going to
want to make sure that microsoft access
or any other applications that may
modify
the database files are closed now to
begin
we need to open data newman access
repair
now that we have data newman access
repair open we'll want to
select the corrupt or damaged access
database files
to be repaired to do that we can type
the path to the database file here
or we can select it by clicking this
button on the right
and navigating to the database file
itself
next we'll want to set the output file
by default
data newman access repair will save the
fixed access database to a new file
and just add the word fixed onto the end
so for example the database that we will
be recovering is called mydatabase.mdb
and the fixed file that it's going to
give us back is named
mydatabasefixed.mdb if we wanted to we
could select a different file path by
clicking this button over here on the
right
but i think i'm just going to leave mine
to save in the same folder as the source
database
finally to begin the repair process
we'll just want to click the
start repair button and data newman
access repair will start scanning and
repairing the source database
this progress bar here will show the
progress of the repair and once the
repair is finished it will pop up a
message
on screen here that says the access
database was recovered
successfully and just like that we can
close
data newman access repair and we can
open our newly recovered
database in microsoft access
