to illustrate the benefits of smart
recording let's compare it to a regular
recording first I now click on a webpage
wait until the page is loaded
and here you can see that list of
actions you find mouse clicks which are
defined by their X&Y coordinate and the
wait times and this can be a problem for
example if there's additional
advertisement on the webpage the mouse
clicks would not hit in the desire
target anymore also you don't really
know how long the webpage will take to
load so you have to be conservative with
the wait times and this can slow down
your macro automation smart recording is
the solution for both challenges now
let's try smart record when I click now
instead of capturing the XY coordinates
macro recorder captures the surrounding
of the mouse click and creates a small
bitmap
and whenever it successfully captured
the click you will find it a green
checkmark or find click here and okay
you see a list of smart clicks which you
can identify by the small bitmap preview
and Mac recorder also captured the wait
times however these are not required
here so I can filter them out
so we are only left with the clicks I'll
reset the browser and let's perform the
recording and you will see it goals are
blazing fast because macro recorder
searches for the bitmap clicks on it and
then directly after the click it will
scans for the next image and so there is
no static wait times but it goes as fast
as the browser is showing the actual
graphics contents macro car is looking
for and even if the contents shift
around it doesn't matter because macro
recorder does not rely on static
coordinates but looks for the actual
picture where it has to click so smart
record is the perfect solution if you
have to do automations in non static
environments
