what's up everyone Wily Apple here and
today I like to show you a product that
helps you clear up storage with just a
few clicks so you might not know it but
there might be duplicate files on your
computer system duplicate finder finds
duplicates in a specific folder so
here's a quick example I create a folder
on my desktop with two of the same
videos and let me show you how it works
upon opening system duplicate finder all
you got to do is press a plus button and
locate the folder where you suspect
there's a duplicate and then Press scan
and then it will select all the files
that are duplicates and then all you got
to do is press delete and even if you
realize that it was not a duplicate you
could still get the file back by going
the trash but once you're sure that it
is not a duplicate you could just empty
your trash and it's completely gone from
your device now system duplicate finder
can be used for finding duplicate system
wide on your computer I'm going to show
you how to do that right now so first
thing you do is you press this plus
button press command shift G type users
and then go to your name and then press
open and then press allow you can even
exclude certain folders from being
looked at on your Mac simply head to
your settings and then ignor folders and
files in the list and then you can
ignore your downloads folder and you can
even hide certain extensions for example
if I want to hide the app extension I
can do that and I can even set the
minimum and maximum file size so if I
wanted everything's be over 1 gab I
could just do that just like that and
then scan and it will just start
searching all of your files to see if
there are any duplicates anywhere we'll
see if there are any duplicates on my
main volume of maoma all right as you
can see right here we have
1,861 duplicates ready to be deleted let
me scroll through all of them once I'm
ready to I just press on delete and then
press on yes and we'll start deleting
all these files and moving them to the
trash and once I'm ready to get rid of
them all completely I just empty my
trash just like this system duplicate
fer can also find duplicate your photos
Library I have a photo library here for
demonstration purposes and let's scan it
as you can see it found this duplicate
thumbnail inside of my photo's library
and once I'm ready to delete it I just
press on delete and it will successfully
delete that photo now that is the
easiest way to find duplicates on your
Mac find duplicates on your Mac and
potentially say gigabytes of storage
