hey everybody this is Mark with I tech1
tweet and in this video we are going to
be checking out system duplicate finder
this is a pretty cool app that allows
you to locate duplicate files on your
entire machine or within a certain
folder and it will give you the option
to delete them and clean up and get some
free space so if you're a developer like
me you may be working with lots of
images and an X code specifically if you
copy the image into your project it
copies it it doesn't reference the
original so you don't need the original
anymore so you may have quite a few
leftovers that maybe you forgot to
delete um so this is a really cool app
for that so on our main page right here
we have a plus button where we can
select a folder we can drop in folders
and files and we can hit the scan button
settings we can scan by different
content types and then what we do to
remove it and then filters allows you to
choose the range and we can also go
ahead and Skip certain folders and files
if you want to keep that stuff so let's
go ahead and add a folder we're just
going to go ahead and add photos because
that's what I was talking about earlier
where you have multiple pictures as you
can see we have one folder we can go
ahead and remove that and we'll hit scan
it's going to scan and it will tell you
how many duplicates found the size and
the total number of files scanned so as
you can see right here it found a duplic
at I have two of these and if we look
right here it's actually inside of my
iCloud photo library sounds pretty
interesting it looks inside this library
right here and Compares with everything
else and even manages and shows you
duplicates if you have two of them in
there so like I have two right here
these are both inside of my iCloud photo
library allows me to remove them from
there so that's pretty awesome and as
you can see all of these pretty much are
in the the iCloud photo
library I don't think any of them are
actually in my photos folder so it goes
Way Beyond just your traditional folder
it even searches
libraries and the same goes for if you
have documents music videos it'll show
you all the same stuff pretty much and
if I want to go ahead and delete it I
can go ahead and select which one I want
we can preview it open it in that folder
hit
delete and like that it's gone that
simple and
easy and as soon as it deletes the
duplicate you can see it's gone from the
side and it's really fast and really
awesome as well and if you guys have any
