Today I David Dilling from Markzware am going to 
explain to you why if you're interested in one of
the Markzware Markz-line products like IDMarkz or 
QXPMarkz - Quark to InDesign, Quark to Affinity,
Quark to a lot of other things or PDFMarkz PDF 
to InDesign and to other stuff as well or maybe
you need other file formats converted as well 
like Microsoft Publisher or Affinity itself. So,
we're going to show you today OmniMarkz and why 
why this is very important if you're interested
in one of the Markz-line products or pre-flighting 
or whatever it might be to check out OmniMarkz.
Let's dive in. What is the Markz-line? Well, that 
is like I just explained. OmniMarkz is a bundle
of all three of our main Markz-line products. 
PDFMarkz, QXPMarkz, and IDMarkz. To use any
of them, they're standalone applications. You 
just drag and drop files onto the open window.
Right now, I'm going to show you OmniMarkz 
because it does stuff that the other three
don't do. And it gives you a sort of pre-flight, 
a file inventory, but also opens other file
formats which none of them do, such as Affinity 
Publisher, or Affinity as it's now called with
all the new free version of Affinity, as well as 
Microsoft Publisher and other formats as well. So,
you can just stick a host of files, you can 
drop them onto OmniMarkz, and off it goes. I
installed Microsoft Publisher. I saw Affinity. 
I see a QXP, QuarkXPress file. And we're done.
We got about five or six files up there. Here we 
see a Quark file, uh, 2025 file. It also supports
the latest 2026 version. No problem. We get over 
quick preview of the file. And we could say, okay,
open this Quark file in InDesign. Bada bing, bada 
boom. It opens right up in Adobe InDesign for us.
So there we go. We get images extracted 
at resolution used. We get all the text,
all the stylization, and the beautiful swans who 
come around the the front door of my house every
uh every well all actually all year 
long. I just love the swans. Okay,
let's go back into Adobe Illustrator 
file, which we could then open in well,
let's open Affinity. Illustrator to Affinity. 
No problem. Boom. And there it goes.
Now we have the symbol right here which we can 
edit and change however we need to. Here we
have a native.AF Affinity file brand new out from 
Affinity owned by Canva. And now you can take this
file, get a preview of the Affinity file and you 
can click open in let's say InDesign - Affinity to
InDesign with a click. And there you go. 
Uh the text needs some formatting here,
but all the text is here, which is the 
most important thing. And the rest of
layout looks pretty good. This, I must mention, is 
in beta. Affinity support is in beta in OmniMarkz,
available in OmniMarkz and in MarkzPortal, our 
online portal. Uh let's get back into OmniMarkz
again here. By the way, look at that. We get 
full pre-flight file inventory information.
And if we go for instance into this InDesign 
file, we see it's a 2024 version. And look what
that tells us. Look at that generative AI. That 
eagle with the AI prompt is AI. Isn't that handy
to know? Some people might require to be told 
that AI is used in the document. Just extremely
cool. You get the full prompt and everything in 
it. We get all the text. We can extract that or
we can just do the full conversion let's say of 
this InDesign file to well maybe just want to go
to IDML we just want to uh save it or maybe we 
had some corruption we need to get out of it we
also fix bad files with OmniMarkz just export the 
IDML you don't need to have the images extracted
if you don't need need to if you already have them 
and as easy as that you could also of course open
this InDesign file right up in Affinity you just 
click there uh this PDF look at that! A Canva PDF
even we can convert that right to InDesign with 
a click. Boom. And there we go. Look how great
it works. You just need to substitute the fonts 
in this case and it will be perfect conversion.

a little preview of it and we can see how. Note 
how the images are in the original file and we
can then go let's open that up in Affinity

it's perfect. The images are perfectly converted 
as they were. The stylization, the geometry,
everything is just perfect. Microsoft Publisher to
