hey guys welcome back to another tech
guru of video today i have a YouTube
tutorial for you going to be showing you
how to add a watermark to your YouTube
videos so there are multiple benefits
from doing this the first benefit is
obviously just branding you put a
watermark on your video someone uses it
somewhere else
your branding will be on it always and
forever and there's nothing they can do
about it and you'll get your brand out
there wherever your video is used in a
second and an awesome feature with this
is when you use it through youtube it
actually puts a clickable link to your
subscribe button right there on top of
your logo or watermark on the video so
let's go ahead and show you what I'm
talking about so if you see here I have
one of my videos pulled up in the
right-hand corner you can see my little
water market logo there
the TG for tech guru and then it shows
me there that i am already subscribed
and how many subscribers that I have at
the current moment but if I was an
unsubscribe ER somebody who was
interested in the possibly subscribing
that would show the big red subscribe
button right there and give me the
opportunity subscribe right there and
right then
so anyways go back to your YouTube
option page here so in order to do this
you need to log into your YouTube
account obviously go to your video
manager and go over to the left hand
side you're going to see something that
says channel settings click on that
option there and then go down to the
in-video programming options okay
click on that there and then once we're
there the first option that's going to
come up is the branding watermark
so you're going to have the options to
do a few different things here
so what you're going to be able to do is
I want to go ahead and remove mine so i
can show you exactly how to do it
you'll see this option here go ahead and
click add water market the blue button
there and i will give you a few tips for
the wise here first and foremost make
sure that the image is a dot PNG and a
transparent image
the reason being is because when it's on
different colors throughout your videos
it's going to look much better and much
more professional
so I'm gonna go ahead and choose my file
here
and i'm going to go ahead and find my
logo the one that I want to use and you
see here it is a dot PNG file then we'll
go ahead and click open just like so now
it is uploaded to go to the save button
down here in the lower right hand corner
once i have done that I'm gonna have a
few more options here as you can see it
shows you my watermark there on a
transparent background you can either
choose to upload a new file now or go
back down to save it once again once we
have done that we are almost done now we
can choose when we want the watermark to
show now if you're watermark is like
mine and it is not obtrusive in any way
and it will not inflict the viewers on
seeing something in your video you can
you know leave it on there for the whole
video by going to entire video or you
can change it to a custom start time on
each and every one of your videos and
you can also say how long you want it to
last on your videos by putting on a
second mark here just like that i would
recommend doing you know what you feel
best for me I like to have branding
throughout the video i think it's great
to have that option for a subscribe
button there on right on the video so i
go ahead and put it in the entire video
and then once we have done that go up to
update that blue button there and boom
you now we'll have this nice water
Martin logo in the upper right hand
corner of your videos so anyways guys i
