Short answer
Choose WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe (now called Winxvideo AI) if you want AI tools on top of conversion: upscaling old footage to 4K, stabilizing shaky clips and smoothing frame rates. It's the cheaper of the two through our Buy Now at $59.95 for a lifetime license, but it needs 64-bit Windows and a reasonably modern graphics card for the AI features.
Choose HD Video Converter Factory Pro if you also rip DVDs or run an older PC: the $69.95 lifetime license includes WonderFox DVD Ripper Pro, the requirements are light, and it adds a downloader for 1000+ sites and a 4-mode screen recorder. Both have free trials that convert the first 5 minutes of a video, so test your own files first.

How we compared them
- We read both vendors' product, technical specification, pricing and refund pages, including each trial-versus-paid comparison.
- We checked what the checkout behind each Buy Now button actually sells and charges, which isn't always the vendor's headline price.
- We looked at real screenshots of each program and read user reviews on Trustpilot.
What we checked: on October 11, 2026, the checkout sold HD Video Converter Factory Pro with DVD Ripper Pro as a lifetime license for $69.95, and WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe as a lifetime license for $59.95. WonderFox lists HD Video Converter Factory Pro as version 28.9 (172 MB).
Before you buy
- WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe has a new name. Digiarty says it was officially renamed Winxvideo AI, with the core features kept and AI tools added. The checkout behind our Buy Now still sells it under the old name, so if the AI tools are the reason you're buying, ask Digiarty's sales support to confirm what your license includes.
- Prices on the vendors' own stores move around. Both companies run frequent time-limited sales with countdown timers, so their store prices can differ from the prices above.
- Don't use either one to rip or convert copy-protected or copyrighted content you don't have the right to copy. Both vendors say so on their pages.
HD Video Converter Factory Pro: the all-rounder with a DVD ripper included
HD Video Converter Factory Pro from WonderFox converts, compresses, edits, downloads and records video on Windows, and this license comes bundled with WonderFox DVD Ripper Pro.
- Price: $69.95 for a lifetime license on one PC, DVD Ripper Pro included
- Version: 28.9, for Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, 7 and lower
- Best for: people with DVDs to digitize, older or low-spec PCs, and anyone who wants downloading and recording in the same tool
HD Video Converter Factory Pro's Video Converter: Video, 4K/HD, Web and Audio format tabs, a row of device brands, a grid of formats from AVI and MP4 to H.265, VP9 and AV1, and Quick setting and Hardware acceleration (NVIDIA, Intel) on the right.
HD Video Converter Factory Pro converts to more than 500 formats and device presets. You pick a format tile or a device brand, and a quick-setting slider sets the resolution from 480p to 4K. It handles modern codecs such as H.265 (HEVC), VP9 and AV1, 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound and lossless audio, and it can batch-convert up to 10 files at once. Hardware acceleration uses NVIDIA NVENC and CUDA and Intel Quick Sync to speed up encoding.
HD Video Converter Factory Pro is more of a toolbox than a converter. The downloader saves videos and music from YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, X, SoundCloud and more than 1000 other sites, up to 5 at a time and with your choice of audio track and subtitles. The screen recorder has custom, full-screen, game (60fps) and audio-only modes, with no watermark or time limit once registered. There's also a GIF maker, a ringtone maker, subtitle extraction, split-screen videos and basic editing: trim, merge, crop, rotate, filters and watermarks.
WonderFox DVD Ripper Pro, the bundled program: a DVD's titles listed with the main movie marked, each set to MP4 output with source and output sizes, and a quality-versus-speed slider on the right.
The bundled WonderFox DVD Ripper Pro is the deciding extra for anyone with a shelf of discs. It finds the main movie, lets you choose audio and subtitle tracks, and rips to MP4 or other formats. WinX sells its DVD ripper separately, so if you need both jobs done, this bundle saves a second purchase.
What we like
- DVD Ripper Pro included in the same lifetime license
- Very light requirements, runs on older Windows
- Downloader, recorder, GIF and ringtone makers built in
- Clear format-and-device grid
Watch out for
- No AI enhancement, stabilization or frame interpolation
- Few user reviews, with complaints about refunds and upgrades
- Refunds only in limited cases
- The higher price of the two through our Buy Now
What users say about HD Video Converter Factory Pro
WonderFox's Trustpilot page (videoconverterfactory.com, all WonderFox products) has a TrustScore of 2.8 out of 5 from only 12 reviews, too few to say much, but the themes are worth knowing.
Aaron, "Outstanding performance": "I recently started using HD Video Converter Factory Pro and I'm extremely impressed with its performance."
Shinryu Elffire gave 3 stars, "Works fast, but the result is rather bad": "The software works faster than VLC, but with the same settings the quality is inferior."
Jerry Bramlett, "Lifetime free upgrade agreement is not…": "Lifetime free upgrade agreement is not true. I Purchased Wonderfox Converter Factory Pro in 2018"
WonderFox's buy page quotes Rick, a CNET editor: "Converts video files to just about any format you can imagine... comes with a variety of output presets for devices..."

WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe (Winxvideo AI): conversion plus AI enhancement
WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe from Digiarty is now sold by its maker as Winxvideo AI: the same converter, compressor, downloader, recorder and editor, plus AI tools for video, images and audio.
- Price: $59.95 for a lifetime license on one PC through our Buy Now
- Runs on: 64-bit Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and 11 (a separate Mac version exists)
- Best for: old, shaky or low-resolution footage you want to improve, not just convert
The Winxvideo AI home screen: Image AI, Video AI and Audio AI tiles, with Video Converter, Downloader, Compressor and Recorder below.
WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe's AI tools are what set it apart. AI Super Resolution upscales real-world and AI-generated videos to 4K while removing noise and blur. AI Video Stabilization removes camera shake from GoPro, drone, DSLR or phone footage. AI Frame Interpolation turns 24 or 30fps video into smooth 60 or 120fps, or slow motion up to 480fps. Beyond video, it enhances and upscales photos to 4K, 8K or 10K, restores faces, colorizes black-and-white pictures, removes background noise from audio and separates vocals from music.
WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe still does the everyday jobs. It converts and compresses 4K, 8K and HDR video with GPU acceleration, shrinking files by up to 90%, with presets for MP4, MKV, MOV, HEVC, AV1, ProRes and Apple devices. The downloader handles videos, playlists, channels, M3U8 and live streams, the recorder captures the screen and webcam at up to 4K 60fps, and the editor trims, merges, crops, adds subtitles, applies 16 effects and changes speed from 0.1x to 16x.
Winxvideo AI's converter: three clips queued with Effect, Watermark, Cut, Crop, Rotate and Subtitle buttons under each, MP4 H.264 selected as the target format, and the Hardware Acceleration Engine (NVIDIA, Intel, AMD) switched on.
The catch with WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe's AI features is hardware. Digiarty says they need a graphics card supporting Vulkan 1.2 (NVIDIA GeForce GT 630, Intel UHD Graphics 620, AMD Radeon RX 550 or newer), and it recommends a high-end, dedicated system for smooth results. The conversion tools run on much less. If your PC is old, use the trial's 5 free AI exports to see how it copes before buying.
What we like
- AI upscaling, stabilization and frame interpolation
- Photo and audio AI tools in the same program
- 4K 60fps recorder with webcam picture-in-picture
- Cheaper lifetime license, 30-day money-back guarantee
Watch out for
- AI tools need a capable GPU and 64-bit Windows
- Some users find the AI results overdone or worse than the original
- Sold under its old name at our checkout
- No DVD ripper included

Head to head
Conversion: a draw for everyday files
For ordinary conversion, both HD Video Converter Factory Pro and WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe do the job well: both cover the modern codecs (H.265, AV1), both use NVIDIA and Intel hardware acceleration, and both offer device presets. HD Video Converter Factory Pro has the larger preset list (500+); WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe adds AMD acceleration and HDR handling.
Improving footage: WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe

DVDs and older PCs: HD Video Converter Factory Pro
HD Video Converter Factory Pro wins for DVDs, because DVD Ripper Pro comes in the box, and for older machines, with a 1.5 GHz CPU and 300 MB of disk space as the minimum and support for Windows 7 and earlier.
