hey guys welcome back to another tech
guru video so in this video today we're
in adobe acrobat pro i'm going to be
showing you how to any watermark to your
PDF so if you're uploading a PDF for
someone to download but you don't want
to steal it you know copy and paste it
save image as whatever you may want to
add a watermark to protect your PDF so
in order to do that go ahead and open up
your PDF within Acrobat Pro now if you
don't know how to do that you can go
back here open up acrobat pro go to
storage my computer find the document on
your computer and then just open up the
PDF it'll probably be zoomed in a whole
lot you can you know reduce the size
this is just a test PDF here that i'm
going to show you
so all you need to do is once you have
your PDF open in Acrobat Pro go over to
the right-hand side you're going to see
a lot of different tools here and then
you're going to want to go to edit PDF
it's got the pink lines right beside it
and then once you do that you'll see
some other tools come up available above
the document go to watermark right here
click on the down arrow there and then
go to add what you've done that the
watermark option panel will come
available to you and it will look
something like this now you will insert
the text right here so i'm gonna go
ahead and type in watermark just like so
now it doesn't look good like that
obviously so what you normally want to
do is go ahead and rotate it by 45
degrees by doing that there and then
going up to size in an increasing the
size to being a little larger maybe even
a hundred and fifty is what i have found
to be the sweet spot so as you can see
there that's what the watermark looks
like they're now once we've added the
watermark we could always go back and
edit the watermark so go up to watermark
in the down arrow go to update and then
it'll bring up the watermark panel once
again and it'll look like this and then
what we're going to want to do is add
some transparency so in order to do that
go to the opacity slider here right
under the rotation and then drag that
all the way down until you get it
somewhere of your liking so you can
increase the opacity make it darker or
you can decrease the opacity and make it
lighter norm
with a watermark so you don't intrude on
your original document too much you want
that opacity to be a good bit that way
that the person can get a good view as
to what the document is but if you want
to you can always increase that back up
to show it so we'll leave it around
thirty percent right there and then go
to okay now as you can see we have our
watermark on our document and then we
can go up right here to the little cloud
icon and save it so we can save the file
there or click on the little save a
floppy disk there to the left of it and
then we open that document again so it
will close out of it
acrobat pro and then i'm going to open
that document once more someone open it
now and then if we open that document as
you can see here once we've opened the
document it'll show up now with our
watermark included on the document so
that's how you simply add an update or
edit a watermark within Adobe Acrobat
