MorphVOX Pro Tutorial - Getting Started

after you've installed more foxpro on
your computer you can simply click on
the more foxpro icon to start the
program that we presented with a splash
screen and the application should start
up
the very first dialogue you'll see is
the more fox voice dr. this wizard will
guide you through the steps for
optimizing or Fox pro for your voice
click on the next button to start this
panel presents echo cancellation and
allows you to assign a default driver
for more fox
I would only turn on echo cancellation
if you don't have a headset microphone
or if you have problems with echo to
leave that off for now let's go click on
the next button
this panel lets you record your voice
the voice recording will be used by more
fox to calibrate the program to various
target voices to start recording click
on the record button and say the
following sentence
what is the airspeed of a fully laden

stop recording
you can either listen to the recording
if the levels are not good
I'd recommend re-recording the sample
you can also adjust the microphone
volume conveniently from this dialog by
clicking on this button
you can adjust my from volume up or down

more foxpro comes with six standard
voices
so let's hear some of the other voices

speakers i click on it once it turns off
listen and now you can probably hear me
but I can't hear what's coming out of my
speakers
this is called compact view if i click
on topic view button it shrinks more fox
down to economize valuable desktop space
but it still gives me access to the
important controls
click on the full view button it returns
more fox to the full view this control
is a drop down list that lets me access
the voice is very quickly
i turn my life back on
I can chase the child's voice fairly
quickly
this is a child's voice
now i will show you the controls down
below you
microphone lets you turn off the sound
coming through a microphone the five
buttons down here represent important
functions for more foxpro that let you
tweet the sounds and your voices
so I will go ahead and click on the
graphic equalizer button that brings up
a 10 band graphic equalizer which lets
you adjust the contour of your voice
I'll focus on these controls at a later
tutorial that week sound button lets you
adjust the pitch and timbre of your
voice
individually again I will focus on this
in a later tutorial voice effects lets
you attach more than a dozen
individually tweakable effects to your
voice to change the quality of the sound
the sound effects button lets you access
a panel which contains multiple sound
effects which you can broadcast over the
Internet
a touch of a button the last button is
called background sounds
this lets you add ambient sounds to your
voice marching
so you can disguise your location and
pretend you're let's say in city traffic
or shopping mall i'll also focus on this
control in a later tutorial
