this is a video tutorial or a piece of
software called free video converter and
this allows you to convert video files
from one format to another
I've always found it really difficult to
find video conversion software that
either doesn't cost a fortune or doesn't
install all sorts of unwanted bits and
pieces on the pc this is one of the few
i found that really very good and as the
title implies doesn't cost you anything
so the first thing you need to do is go
to the website and I've provided a link
in the description to this video when
you get there click on the download icon
and in a few seconds you'll be able to
save the installation file somewhere on
your pc now the installation process is
really simple so I'm not going to waste
time explaining that just save the file
double-click the installation file and
go through the installation steps so
we'll cancel that when you installed
software and you run it this is what it
looks like when you first open it
so let's go through you through a few of
the options first thing you need to do
is go to edit down two options and on
the general tab this is where you choose
where your converted files will be
placed you can put it anywhere you like
my chosen to put them in with my youtube
videos folder the Audio tab doesn't need
anything changing the defaults work fine
as do the video defaults so I haven't
changed any of those this next tab is an
interesting one in the account for
YouTube put in your youtube username and
password and you'll find out why later
on
click OK
and that program setup really now on
this side you'll find profile and if you
clip drop-down arrow
these are all the different file formats
that the program supports so flash
videos DVDs and pigs AV eyes and
commonly used audios I've chosen my
default to be avi and we're now ready to
add a file and convert it so click add
video and choose a small file test and
you'll see that it's now come up in this
list it's already ticked what we need to
do now is convert it so click the
convert button and the progress bar will
show you when it's completed now
everytime you convert a file you will
get his next screen up which asks if you
want to upgrade to the professional
version all you need to do is click no
thanks
and I think that's a small price to pay
for such a good piece of software now
here we've got our original source file
once has been converted this panel opens
up and this is where all the converted
files are stored now converted file is
this one here and if we highlight it
we can actually preview it in this mini
player so if you click play
ok now i put me brought back home that
is one of my older videos so we'll stop
that
so that's are converted file now if we
move on to the reason why you put your
YouTube detailed him if you click the
YouTube button as a space here to type
an earl and if you know the director for
our YouTube video you can type it in
here if you don't you can simply paste
it now I've already gone to youtube and
copied an old so let's paste that in
click ok and there you have the YouTube
source file now will convert it and this
could take a while so i'll pause the
video
okay welcome back battle couple of
minutes it's slightly larger file but if
we now go into common use video formats
this is the converted file okay in the
download section that's our original and
here is our converted one again if you
highlight it come over to the mini
player click play otherwise this is just
want to show you how you can have to
speak to win there you are
that's are converted file now if you
would go down here you can actually open
up your output folder
and this is where is restored all of the
converted files
ok now with the YouTube one of the
interesting things is that you don't
have to download files one at a time you
can paste in as many hours as you like
and then when you click OK the software
will automatically download each of
those files and you can then convert
them one at a time so that's really all
there is to it is a very simple piece of
software but does quite a lot i would
recommend it to say it is completely
free very simple to use hope you found
