YouTube in PPT for Mac

This is a detailed explanation of how I put a YouTube video into my PowerPoint Presentations. I hope it helps you!

ok so you want to insert a YouTube video
into a powerpoint presentation first
open up your internet browser then go to
youtube and find the video that you're
looking for
i'm going to type in Spanish live on
let's see if it finds it there it is
that's the video that i want to put into
a powerpoint so just going to deposit
because I don't need to watch it again
and now look at the top here i'm going
to copy this link copy from the website
and then i'm going to open up a new
website called keep the dot-com and that
link that i just copied from youtube i'm
going to paste right here where it says
URL
ok now over here on the right I'm going
to click download and in just seconds it
comes up with two options for me i can
either download the FLV file which you
cannot put into a powerpoint or i can
download the . mp4 which is what i want
so i'm going to click on that and it
comes up with this box and what you want
to do is save the file just click ok and
it's downloading it wherever it
downloads all the downloads for me and
my downloads always appear on my desktop
so while that is downloading i'm going
to open a powerpoint presentation
and i'm going to insert a new slide and
on every new slide powerpoint always
shows you these little buttons right
here and one of the buttons is insert
movie
there it is insert movie from file
another way to insert a movie is simply
to go up to insert and go down to a
movie and then ask me
you can search for it on your computer
and insert it that way
so the movie that I want to insert you
can see it on my desktop
there it is right there is video to mp4
before I inserted this into my
powerpoint i just want to make sure it's
working that I've got audio and it's in
color so see you
and it's working i'm going to go ahead
and close that and i'm going to insert
that being out into my powerpoint by
clicking on that button and there's the
video right there
i'm going to choose it and it asks me
how do you want the movie to start in
the slideshow when clicked or
automatically
I always choose to have the movie start
when clicked because I want to make sure
that my students are listening and
prepared for the video so i have the
control over when it starts now you can
resize the box
that's going to be on your slide and you
can reposition it on your slide
however you want to be and I prefer
because i think it looks the best to
have a background my PowerPoint format
background that is black to just blend
in better with the video and click apply
ok now i'm going to write down here it
says slideshow of you going to go ahead
and try the slide show and make sure my
video worked there
there's my video right there you can see
it and if i click on it
see you there is

to watch it sometime
