crazy YouTube expert Derral Eves. Now there’s
many reason why you’d want to record your
screen on your mobile device. Now you might
be a hardcore gamer wanting to record your
favorite video game to upload it to YouTube.
Or you’re a teacher that wants to liven
up a boring classroom. Who threw that! Or
you might be a business professional trying
to make a presentation a little bit more engaging.
Whatever type of person you are, if you want
to record your screen on your mobile device
then you need to watch this video. I’m going
to explain how to actually do it on a Mac,
Windows and even Chrome. Let’s do this!
derraleves.com. Now if you are on a Mac and
using Yosemite you have the ability to display
your screen of your mobile device right on
your computer. Doesn’t matter if it’s
an iPhone, iPod, iPad or even Android. All
you need to do is launch Quicktime and come
up to file, down to new movie recording. Now
I know you might want to do screen recording,
you’re thinking hey, you know it’s a screen,
that’s not how it’s actually viewing.
If you launch new movie recording, basically
what Quicktime does is it literally selects
the camera as your mobile device and if you
come down here, there’s a drop down menu
here and you can see all, it’s picking up
my iPad Micro which is the name for my name
for my iPhone 6 Plus and it gives you the
ability to select it as a camera and you can
record but it is very responsive, it’s free,
you don’t have to do it if you’re on a
Mac, it’s just built right in to the system
menu and you can just hit record at any time
and as it records the screen it will save
both the video file and audio file for you
to use and upload on YouTube. If you’re
using screen flow you can record not only
your computer screen but the screen from your
IOS device. All you need to do is enable that
and you can record your desktop, the screen
from your iPhone or iPad or iPod and also
you know, you can record yourself as your
doing this as well. Now there’s a great
paid solution out there and it’s called
Reflector 2. It’s made by Air Squirrels
and I literally love this application and
the reason why is because you can take your
mobile device and mirror it either on Windows,
on Mac or even on Chrome and you can mirror
and you can do all your screen recording on
your favorite type of computer. Now i really
love this, the reason why is it’s super
easy, all you’ve got to do is turn on Airplay
so you go ahead click airplay here and select
the device basically this is my iMac that
I’m using and it shows up on your iMac and
what I love it uses Airplay and it’s super
responsive and those that are on Windows and
Chromebook you can use Google Cast. It’s
just as powerful. Keep in mind that Google
Cast is still in Beta. Also with reflector
it has own screen recording software built
right in, all you’ve got to do is hit this
Record button right here and do your tutorials
or whatever you’re doing to record your
screen. Now I know there’s a lot of other
applications out there to do the same things
that I was actually showing you so if you
have one that I didn’t talk about put it
