hello i am in use from tolerated
cinematics . com
and they'll be showing you how to create
some nice realistic water and adobe
after effects using only the effects
integrated and after effects so no
external plugins so and this is the
effect what we're going for
so let me preview it is it's pretty cool
so I'm it sprays easy to create I've
done in like five minutes some but i'm
i'm going to try to explain it so it
might take a little bit longer I don't
know
so let's get started and click on new
composition and then just enter settings
I'm going for an and 1080p and third
frame rate doesn't really matter i'm
going for five seconds doesn't have to
be much longer and head okay then what
i'm going to do is right click over here
right click new solid and I'm going to
be reading my solid to water so he'll ok
once you've done that go to affect noise
engrain fractal noise and once you've
added the fractal noise fractal type
should be and changed the dynamic and
the noise type 2 linear and then what
you can do is just on tweedy contrast
and brightness a little bit - 120 and
negative 10
this is what i thought that was working
for me and maybe even five negative
negative 5 a room negative seven would
be a little bit better for me and
complex see let's change it to four
because now it's too weak to complicate
it
and then we're going to drop down the
transformed over here and we're going to
scale it up to like so let's say 150 and
this is looking pretty fine
ok so once you've done that we are going
to animate our water so we can see some
some displacement happening there so am
we're going to click on the transform
again click on officer turbulence and
then just clear i create a new keyframe
at the beginning of our timeline then
just drag at the end of your timeline
and then just change these
and this a little bit over here not too
much so it's dead doesn't go and that's
fast
if you wanted to go fast yeah just
change it a little bit more and then
press you wanna keep my keyboard to
reveal the key frames and then just drag
this out so it doesn't stop at the end
or doesn't fade out over here
so our once you've done that we are
going to add our color for water
maybe I first want to add an expression
to evolution so we have a little bit
more animation hold alt on the keyboard
click on the stopwatch over here and
what we're going to type of here is a
little expression time x 150 and that is
going to animate or evolution and that's
edge is going to change and way it's
over here because if I'm if I'm going to
preview this let me preview so you can
see what we are doing here
it's going not too fast away or so and
then I'm going to pause the video and
come back once it's done so
be right back
ok so it's done running over here so
let's see what we have
ok so I'm going to render this as you
can see the fractal noise is animating
and it's going to the rights because we
animated the officer turbulence then the
animation is from the evolution so this
little expression just animated over
time and without even have to keyframe
it's a little bit easier than keyframing
in my opinion so I'm once you have
something looking like this we're going
to add our colors to or water
we're going to affect and then going to
color correction try to and this will
just give them the nice colors for our
highlights mid-tones and shadows
so I'm I like to work with the blue /
greenish and water core something like
this over here and make it as realistic
as possible so i'm just going to pick
some colors of here and some good
grandma blues over here and some dark
ones as well so something like this
should be working fine of the darker and
is a bit too right okay there we go and
maybe a little bit lighter for the
highlights
ok so this is what i like and this
should be our water audience what we
want to do now once you have something
looking like this
hold ctrl and shift on keyboard and then
press see if you don't know what how to
do that just go to composition and no
going to it's a long time I've done this
because I'm always using a my hot case
right now and going to layer precomposed
okay I'm sorry
going to layer and pre composes and then
move all the attributes to a new
composition and then just rename it to
whatever you want water and yeah
water fractal noise something like this
and hit ok so once you have something
looking like this what I like to do is
I'm add a glass to sell the effects so
at the effects & presets we are going to
enter if you don't see the effects &
presets go to window and then just check
on the effects & presets and once you've
done that go to search and press CC and
space and glass over here so its
stylized
if you don't find that we're here just
click on the on your layer go to affect
stylize and you will find it on there as
well then I like to search my effects of
here because it's a lot faster
so I'm i'm going to drag and drop it on
our lair and that will get this glass
factory here now we have to tweak it a
little bit to make it now
a little bit realistic and so let's
tweak it over here its softness i'm
going to change it to 30 or 40 something
let's say 35 of them yeah there we go
and the height we're going to change it
to negative
now we are going to change it to 50 and
the displacement to negative 100
as you can see already I'm or water is
coming true
i'm going to change the height again -
100 a little bit more safe 75 negative
75
what works well let's save 75 will do
yeah it's working fine so something like
this
you can also sweet these are like to
hear whatever you want maybe a little
bit more bluish light not too much
because i don't want to sell the
effective if you want to sell the effect
just a little touch of here
so this is our water and if you're going
to preview this and let me preview this
by pausing the video and coming back
once this is done and then we can just
add some text time to - yeah for in
title of a movie or whatever and yes
so be right ok so we're back over here
and so let's see what we have
this is looking pretty fine so now if
you want to add some text and that's
also September like
water and just go to New and text and
then just enter text i'm going to enter
ocean something like this
i'm going to drag this down here and i'm
going to change the color to a nice
Dre bluish color first I got selected of
course
ok and there we go and now i just change
the mode to screen or to add and then
i'm going to and pristine keyboard to
reveal the opacity and then just change
- 60 or something like that
also i'm i'm adding some blur vector
blur over here and i'm going to change
this amount to 15
so maybe 10 okay there we go
so this is what I do for my text and
then I like to add a turban displacement
but you can also just down
click on well you can also copy this
layer over here and and then go back to
your composition based over here and
then just delete right down and then
just again precomposed by going to layer
pre compose and then just and
displacement and I don't know what this
will give
and then use it previous time that I'm
it's also a low and this thing to know
and to go to your effects & presets
enter displacement and then just
displacement map drop is on the text and
then just select your displacement over
here
shut the I off and then just change the
hardest horizontal displacement and
vertical displacement and to luminance I
guess that it was there we go
and then three are going changes to 10
then
or maybe more 25 25
no not 25 stew much
let's say 15
there we go and now if we are going to
preview render now and be right back
again
ok so let's preview this one yeah it's
looking pretty finally here so i really
like the effect because it's I'm just
copying the same exact animation / water
Lee here and then just add it to a
displacement over text so sleeping
pretty realistically here
so what you can do as well as a dabbler
and a pasty dirty or text - I'm get a
nice transition in our so I'm going to
add some phosphor layer because it's a
little bit rendering
it's rendering a lot faster actually and
change to 100 keyframe stop watching
here move in time like it's a one and a
half seconds and change 20 and pristine
keyboard to reveal the opacity and over
here
click a kid stop watch over here at the
end at the same key frame of a blur and
then just go back to the first frame
over and composition and then just it's
zero on the keyboard and the opacity
will be changed to zero percent and what
you can do all as as well as selecting
your last key frames right click and go
to keyframe assistance and click on
easy easy or press f9 on the keyboard so
if we previewed this pretty smooth and
nice
transition freeze final touch for your
ocean looking affect what we can do is
adding yet at the corners over here and
that really does give a nice touch and
to your composition then if we're going
to New solid and and we're going to
enter pregnant the name and just hit
okay and then just go to effect
well we're not going to do it and what
effect I'm just going to do it with your
mask over here so just drag and drop of
you to the ellipse tool then
double-click on the lips to make sure
your ends and solid layer was selected
when you do this and then go to the mask
and go to subtract instead of AD then
press and F on the keyboard to feather
your mask and change to like 400 or
something like that and then just change
the mode to overlay now
pristine keyboard and change the opacity
to 60 and then press m double tap it and
to reveal the mask options and the free
mask expansion just change it to
negative 50 or something or maybe
negative 75 and over there and you can
also change the opacity back to 70 maybe
and to get it a little bit darker over
here at the corners and planning what
look you're going for if you are using
this tutorial in your own project
police just post a video response and of
what you have done and I'm sorry for it
is an Amazon puppet and just and just
post a video response i like to see what
you guys came up that came up with them
using my tutorials so
and be sure to do that and also thanks
for watching hope you enjoyed this
tutorial and if it's your first time and
be sure to check out my channel and a
lot of other tutorials out there for all
kinds of software cinema 4d after
effects photoshop and i also have a
website at tolerated cinematic sitcom
with a nice overview over there and what
a blog and inspiration and
all that kind of stuff so thanks for
watching and goodbye take care
