alright welcome to another episode and
on this particular tutorial I am gonna
be talking about my picks for the top 10
WordPress plugins that you should
install with every WordPress install
that you have so if you've never created
a web site before I actually have
created a video I'm going to leave that
description below got the links to go
there so you could go there first learn
how to create a wordpress site and then
come back here now within WordPress
there are literally hundreds maybe even
thousands of plug in instead are
available for WordPress and what the
plugins are is there allow more
additional functionality for your
website and whenever you log in to your
dashboard you come here to plugins
show all the plugins that you currently
have now these are normally installed by
default for most web hosting providers
normally a kiss me it isn't thought also
this Hello Dolly and sometimes limited
login attempts will be installed as well
and it this is not installed by default
I do recommend that you install this so
it's technically it's kinda like number
11 if you don't have it in stock already
so normally I don't leave these on or
immediately them but I'm gonna leave
this on just for the purpose of show you
that whatever you do install a new
WordPress site that's normally what's on
there so typically what you do is you
come to plugins and then you go to add
new and as you see some plugins are
ready show up you know there's a
featured area there's a popular area is
a recommended and there's a favorites
and so you kind of get the idea right
here on what it is and so like I said
there's a lot of plugins available and a
lot of times the recommended popular
featured these are normally the ones
that people could install but as I said
if you're brand new to WordPress you're
probably not going to be familiar with
which one seems like for example Google
Analytics BIOS if you're brand new to
building WordPress websites you probably
won't even know what Google Analytics is
and you probably want it definitely
won't know what else is so that's why we
have these tutorials to show you and so
the very first one that I recommend and
you can just type it in right here is
what friends so this is that number 10
plugin installed first and this is in no
particular order but this is newly
ordered that I installed and whenever
you see a plugin you can also look at
the details first so if you're not
familiar with the plugin you could come
here and look at the description of the
plugin and also the ratings and so forth
so that's good to know especially if
you're not really familiar with the
place so I have to do is just go ahead
click on install now and what a better
deal on each of these 10 plugins is
about to go like over like a little
general overview of the plugin so I'm
not really gonna get in depth the
seventies plugins to have a whole bunch

tutorial just for those plugins alone

but the only one that you really need to
be worried about what installing
at the beginning just put your email
that's it ok so you know whenever you
create a website you definitely need
some type of security basic because
websites get half the time it so that's
a scary but that's just the reality of
the internet and there are many you know
security plugins available
their sweat fence there's security and
their security though is it a top-three
once there's others as well but those
are the top three and a reason why I
choose where if it's because it has a
lot of features that are light it's easy
to use and it's free and it's a really
good security program just to let you
know above above anything else it really
is a good security program ok so that is
my number ten let's go ahead and install
my number nine pick and this has to do
with security once again see you go to
fly games go to add new ok and the
plugin here you type it right here it's
called capture and I'll show you what
this isn't just a second and then when
you want to stop his capture by best

depending on the Internet it might take
a minute or two and install it ok so you
go ahead and activate the plugin and
what this will do is it actually show up
on your settings right here I'm sorry
not settings where is it
BWS plugin is under capture ok and
variety about you know settings
available but just leave it you don't
have to change into just just leave it
right there you leave it right there as
a default and what it would do is if you
go to your website login let me go ahead
refresh that here at this is a capture
so yeah you could changes and what a
captcha is is it has like a bunch of
questions like this is six times this is
five yet to put the right answer and you
could change this capture as well so see
it changes the capture so what this
would
do is to protect your website from
things like automated programs the
column robots or programs whatever you
want to call them and what these
programs do they go out on the internet
and they try to hack into a website so
they'll go ahead and try a whole bunch
of different username and password
combinations automatically attend they
get into your website so what a capture
does is it puts another layer of
security so that you know that the
program has to answer these questions
and since this stuff is generated
randomly and it's like images and
numbers it makes it more difficult for
these automated programs to work and so
it's not you know nothing insecurity is
100% but whenever you're adding these
extra layers you know such as to where
for security and this capture it just
makes it that little bit harder for
people who are trying to get into your
website's oK so that's my number nine
plugin and my number 8 plugin now you
might not need this right away but if
you're going to be doing WordPress
websites for any amount of time your
gonna learn about something called child
themes ok and very important question
this number 8 plugin is called that
child theme
figure eight er ok so you see it right
here go ahead install it go ahead
activated ok and there it is so it's
under Tools go to child themes ok and
I'm not really going to get into detail
with this because unless you've created
a child theme he won't really understand
this but it's a great tool for creating
things really easily now if you were to
create a child theme normally manually
you have to do it manually normally you
have to go log into your hosting you're
gonna have to create a new child the
folder and then you're going to have to
edit some files and so for most people
who are brand new to WordPress websites
that's not something that you want to do
right at the beginning
and you could mess things up if you're
not really familiar and there are other
child theme plugin to is available but
this is my favorite and you know it like
I said if I can do ho tutorial on this
there's a lot of features available in
Chatham to figure out her but you want
to go ahead and start this because if
you gonna be spending time working a
WordPress websites eventually you
definitely have to use a child theme oK
so that's my number a pic now my number
seven plugin is going to be called tiny
MCE ok yeah actually it's called a tiny
MCE about sorry so type in tiny MCE
advanced already typed it in as you
could probably see but that's what shows
up ok and what time EMC advance does is
a before I just thought I'd let me show
you what it does so if you were to go to
your pages or oppose it doesn't matter
to me opened itself will quit I don't
have any pages yet so I'm say you added
a new page ok and see these are your
menus up here and you know if you've
ever use Microsoft Word you know you
need to have the shortcut menus and
there's not a lot
available here so whenever you install
in this tiny MCE advance it will give
you more options
ok let me show you real quick so now
that you saw looked like before let's go
ahead and install it
activate it
ok and what should show up
see there's a setting this thing called
tiny MCE advance and see it adds more
options you could add and remove
different options appear now like I said
I keep reiterating this but I'm not
gonna go over all the details here but
let me show you what it actually does so
we go back to your pages and add new you
should have more options available
okay and you could always add more
options here which he didn't have before
so let me show you a quick example go
here at five family ok that's public
that's something that I news a lot of
font sizes may say that new
and she showed up so this is great if
you're doing a lot of web pages websites
you definitely have to be spending a lot
of time on posting pages and so this
allows you to control what type of
features that you want available all
year creating or editing these pages and
posts ok so that was a number seven pip
was tiny MCE at-bats now my number six
plugin is contact form 7 now whenever
you create a website
you know you definitely one subway in
order for people to contact you and so I
need a contact form you know unless you
know how to program you know it's a lot
easier to just do it through a plugin
and you know this is obviously a very
popular plugins so you just go ahead and
thought it fit ok so now that thats
install out you have this option right
here
contact ok and quite simply what it do
it will allow you to create a contact
form on your page so I'm gonna go
through this really quick ok so then you
could kind of see how it looks like

ok so right now maybe look at this page
open it up with a quick you know this
guy seven checks and stuff here but you
know there's no contact form
ok so this cut out for him
update it and then you come back here
and refresh it you should see a contact
form right here and you know under the
contact-form settings you could set
which emails and so forth that it'll go
to you okay and you can also do
integration as well so that is my number
six Pip and now number five plugin it's
gonna be coming soon be wondering what
is coming soon
that's a core plugin name by the way so
you know as you're building your
websites you know you probably don't
want people to see your website while
you're building it and like I said there
is there are a ton of plugins available
under coming soon but the one used just
this coming soon emits mode is very
simple
ok so let's go ahead and show you what
does go ahead and activate this plugin
once you get that coming soon plugin
activity you see this little option down
here called coming soon so what is just
really news for when you go to website
right now there's a website complete it
beautiful but what it is still working
on it well that's where this plugin
comes in so what you get in
already clicked on a boat there are many
other features but that's a simple one
just click on enable and then click on
Save and what happens is when you go to
website you're gonna get something like
this and so this is a nice professional
way of telling people that your website
is still being worked on so that's
really really nice to have ok so I'm
gonna leave head on there right now
so that is my number five now my number
for plug-in it's gonna be a little more
technical ok now when ever you are on a
website or your building websites
whatever is related to the internet
there's gonna be some form of SEO and if
you're not familiar with SEO is that
means search engine optimization now
realize if you Brandon Webb Webb pressed
you probably have no idea what that is
but in time just like the child theme
configurator you're gonna be doing some
type of Sto
and so the best one in my opinion is
your SEO there's another one that I news
also it's called all-in-one SEO that is
also excellent ok but this is the one
that I use to just go ahead and started
to show you briefly what that is and SEO
has a lot of very powerful features and
so if you're very good at señor you're
really technically inclined you could
spend countless hours just tweaking its
tough oK so that's been activated you
could start to toward you want but I'm
not going to so if you go to your web
site pages or even your post
you're going to see a new feature so if
we're going down here to page you notice
after you install at the euros SEO you
have some new options down here so this
particular program already does SEO on
your website and pages for you and so
it's really nice it gives you a very
general idea of your SEO status and
where you could go to actually improve
it
you know but if you go here to usse
alright here there are a ton of options
you know actually multiple courses just
to learn how to use this so it's really
really advanced but that's your SEO
and that's actually my number for now my
number three plugin it's going to be
something that you might not think about
but it is important for websites ok and
that is called broken link checker and
what this will do is this plugin will
actually go in and check for any broken
links on your website she know and as
you're spending what time creating
websites you understand why this is
important you don't want broken links
throughout the web sites Google and
other search engines don't like that ok
and it's not something you really need
to spend a lot of time on you know once
you install the plugin see it right
there under broken links just leave it
on the default and what it does to check
your website and make sure there's no
broken links ok which is great that's my
number three
plugin and now let's get to my number
two and this is whenever you can be
uploading a lot of pictures I mean a lot
of people eventually you know they're
gonna be adding media to their website
mostly pictures but also video but this
is primarily focused on pictures not
pictures can get really big at some
cases and even if they're not they can
bog down your system
meeting slow down your performance and
so you wanna have your picture sizes as
small as possible so plugin that I
recommend is called WP / at what this
would do with a funny name but basically
it actually pushed down the size of your
pictures that you upload it ahead of
make it smaller ok however you're still
going to have the quality of the
pictures that you uploaded originally
but by doing this it automatically make
your website slowed a little bit faster
because the picture sizes are smaller
and like I said there's not much that
you need to do there in terms of setting
up just go ahead just turn it on
and the next time that you upload a
picture W piece much will automatically
/ the picture you know I'm not sure I'd
explain that by Julie you you see it so
ok now gone over all the top nine
plugins the last one that I have that I
definitely think you should have for
every WordPress install a plugin called
updraft plus now that's that made
probably doesn't mean anything but what
that is it allows you to backup your
website's ok which is very very very
important you know how you can possibly
imagine that if you're building your
website he spent all his time and all of
a sudden something happen and your
website's gone that would not be good ok
now a lot of hosting providers that
provide some type of backup but you know
that's not always something that I can
rely on and you also want more control
over your backups and updraft + does
that ok so not only will it allow you to
backup your websites but also allow you
to restore your websites as well and
also you know if you were like moving
your web sites to another website this
is a really handy tool to have you know
so go ahead install that it's installing
now go ahead and activate it ok and it
should be under settings right here okay
and this is very simple to news but it
can be you know in advance but it's
really simple to all you do is just go
ahead and back up and it's going to go
head back up your necessary files and
then it'll show up right here under
existing backups and then you can also
restore from a previous backup that you
have done so that is it for my top 10
WordPress plugins this is primarily for
beginners but I think you know as you
working through we're past you probably
have your own set of plugins that you
install every time
that these little ones that I news every
time and I think that they are pretty
much essential you know and after while
you're gonna whenever you have your own
list of plugins it'll just be standard
for you to do it regularly ok so bad is
