ok let's put a roll bar in this thing
so this tubing bender the trash picked
up is called a an affordable vendor it
came off of ebay
it's not a terrible vendor that I had
some problems as you see we're having a
heck of a time trying to get the pipe
loaded just doesn't that the tolerances
we're kind of bad
eventually we learned that we needed to
put a clamp on it also
so the dye doesn't move around here I'm
struggling with it
all right so here's the first Bend this
is going to be the doorpost
it's gonna be behind Trish going to bang
on it they're trying to get it in a in a
plane
so it's so it's straight when it's bent
has been that Trish is petering out on
there that is the the top we're going
across the top of the roll bar using
some levels to make sure that the the
tubing's 90 degrees
there you go i'm struggling with the
tubing bender again
we tried oil we tried everything
there we go finally figured out using a
clamp works this should put a pin in it
alright so this is oh yeah I'm getting
so ticked off and putting the drill and
death three drilling things out
re drilled out the aluminum die finally
there i think it's it's good now I fight
fight
we're going to do a slight offset so
instead of going to the perimeter of the
the chassis
we're going to go straight down to the
subframe connector going to save a
little bit of right side wait
we could have done an extreme upset and
added a third been but it's not really a
car that has to weigh thirty five
hundred pounds it's not really a big
deal
trim it down
sighs get the right height there is a
good view showing the offset
I just run into the camera here we go
there's the subframe connectors and the
support piece for the foot on the floor
now I'm angling the bottom of these
tubes so that the seat that Trish got
it's an aluminum seat with about think
it's probably about 10 degrees tip back
so we can angle the roll bar back
more or less to match the angle of the
window post anyway in the car had to get
the giant crescent wrench out
try to tweak this in a place it in quiet
get it right
it's gonna be more bars in your bracing
this have to stitch that into where the
leaf spring Smith and get some rest off
of there reigned bunch and the last time
we worked on it
now it started raining again so this is
going to be a brace out to the front of
the the subframe you like about a
45-degree bend and then I into the roll
bar in the back cut through the
the firewall there I'm concerned about
putting this one in right away so that
robard isn't back and forth as we start
building other parts of the car
fighting with the tubing vendor actually
take three hundred four hundred dollars
for this thing really good value
honestly i'm using piece of wire to to
estimate the bend
I don't think before they bring up the
tube through their event the piece of
welding rod the wire to the contour line
just fish mouth of the year and and cut
up an angle across the bottom so it'll
tie into the subframe the fish mac mouth
the back and then friend
unfortunately my to be not sure broke so
i'm going to be not you have to do
everything manually and it got dark and
we kind of have it stop
