Sometime temporary folders grows up too much and takes multiple GB of size. So it is better to clean up temporary folders periodically. You can do this manually by your own or using different utilities.

and today we are going to talk about
temporary file folders in Windows 7
so what is temporary file folder
temporary file folder is a temporary
space used by the operating system and
other applications running under the
operating system to speed up the process
by storing some intermediate information
on your computer
these files could be anything for
example it could be an installer file
when you install the shop toil
it could be a picture or sound file used
by a website you browsed it could be a
video file generated by your video
editing software etc
the question is what we need to delete
temporary files by our own most of the
programs are designed such a way that
they will delete a file when they are
done with it but sometimes temporary
files are left behind because of some
comment risen a unexpected grass during
execution be programming error where the
deletion of the temporary file is not
taken care
technically which is known as storage
leak see the file is left for later use
as a result temporary folder grows in
size
eating up your disk space and you must
be wondering where it is all my display

Windows Explorer go to see dr but the
drive
you have operating system then go to the
folder windows
scroll down to the temp folder under
windows
these are all temporary files and RC
windows temp location of application
data temporary folder of it is under see

- look at your application data

Explorer go to see dr user username here
app data portal is a hidden folder so if
you are not able to find it out
go to folder and search option view say
so hidden files and folders and drives
apply
ok now appdata local and temp
these are the temporary fine used by
different applications running under
operating system location up internet
temporary full of it is under see users
username appdata local microsoft windows
temporary internet files are you can go
to Internet Explorer go to tool internet
option fittings and are browsing history
to find out
temporary internet files open up your
explorer go to see users username
appdata local micro shopped windows
now here if you do not see internet
temporary files then go to folder and
search option for you and check hide
protected operating system files
yes
ok and here it is temporary internet
files
another easy way to find out is open up
Internet Explorer go to tools internet
options settings and a browsing history
and here we have a few files to look at
all the files and our temporary internet
files folder here is some state to
delete any of these temporary files
simply make another folder under the
temp folder named anything like my temp
select all files or folders that are
more than two to three days older move
selected files to my temp folder if you
get any error saying that a file cannot
be moved
that could be because of the file is
currently in use skip the file and
continue with others
then you may restart your computer to
make sure that you are not getting any
error
now once your system is up again
go to the temporary folder select my
temp folder with all its contained and
delete it now your computer is clean
let me clean up one of my temporary
folder using these steps
open up explorer going to see windows
tamp i'll create a new folder called my
tip
I can use the date modified to determine
which file i want to delete it if it is
older than three days or not
anyway i'll select all of them and I'll
move them into my temp now I didn't get
any error while moving them at this
point of time you can restart your
computer before deleting this folder or
if you sure that you want to delete them
you can select it and say till it later
on you can clean up your recycle bin to
get it off the system completely the
same method can be used to delete other
two types of temporary files if you do
not want to do this cleaning by your own
manually
there are different doctors available to
do the similar job like you can use this
cleanup which is already available with
your windows or you can download any
other different doctors from the
internet like ccleaner so this is all I
