DEX 4 x TIDAL | Version 3.17 Introduces Support for TIDAL Streaming

Introducing PCDJ DEX 4 x TIDAL Streaming Support

DEX 3.17 introduced a new streaming integration with TIDAL, allowing DJs to access TIDAL’s massive unique catalog of premium music and music videos from within the DEX 4 browser.

Steaming with TIDAL provides DEX 4 DJs a superior method for discovering new music and fill gaps in their library with access to an extensive catalog that includes millions of tracks and hundreds of thousands of music videos by premium artists.
Getting Started

Download and install the latest release of DEX 4 from PCDJ.com.

TIDAL will be enabled by default, displaying a new TIDAL logo and tab within the browser navigation pane.

If you wish to disable or enable the service, you can access the option under the new 3rd Party Services tab in DEX 4’s options.

Be sure to visit TIDAL.com and select one of two plan options. HiFi and HiFi Plus, depending on your needs. Both options provide high-quality streaming, with superior sound quality.

Once your account is created, right-click on the TIDAL icon in the DEX 3 browser and login. Once logged in, it will display “Connected” next to the TIDAL logo. You will now have access to TIDAL complete catalog, with a “Search” option located below the TIDAL logo.

PLAYLISTS

As always, playlist creation can be handled within DEX 4 by creating custom user lists.

You can combine your own tracks with TIDAL tracks.

By accessing your account on TIDAL.com or through their mobile app, you can create playlists that will sync with DEX 4 the next time you launch – or use the “refresh playlists’ option to update while DEX 4 is running.

Another great benefit of TIDAL is access to playlists tailored for DJs across all genres, co-curated by some of TIDAL’s favorite DJs and Editorial team. Simply “Heart” the playlist to add it to your collection.

MIXING

Load tracks from search results or your playlists. DEX 4 will buffer the entire track into RAM to ensure trouble-free streaming and mixing.

Access and mix millions of titles from premium popular artists just like they’re part of your own collection.

DEX 4 x TIDAL allows DEX 4 DJs to Mix Everything.
