hi guys hey mushy from music Express we
hear the imac 2013 convention and i'm
near here with Mark from Roland to take
us through the roland bk9 bacon keyboard
beautiful many times we cannot new top
model for the BK series look at it's
lighted it's everything you want a
keyboard 76 notes so it's not your
standard 61 notes as a can apply that
just gives me a lot of options in terms
of the range i play sound boys located
on the run inside the 1700 plus sounds
it takes a female of time to go through
those 500 of those actually come from
l.a legendary phantom and it's eric's
libraries and then we've got 20
supernatural tone some of the pianos
liquid piano and guitar sex trumpets
supernatural you explain a little about
the supernatural sam yes supernaturals
the state-of-the-art technology Roland
have developed these sounds to be the
most expressive most dynamic for
instance argue that you ever listen
acoustic guitar right pretty hard to get
right carry out only got all this
information going on and
it reacts the same way as you would you
get the sliding
what
so it's responding the same way as if i
was playing the guitar now all the
sounds that are supernatural have that
depth of expression so that's that's
great
on top of that i can lay a lot of sounds
typically on a keyboard you can maybe
later to sounds here on the BK known we
can have up to four so you can imagine
good sound quality but you can also
start combining wonderful combinations
if we look at you know some of the
electric pianos again supernatural then
we've got say one sound here
nice roads
and then a different patch third one
like three very different patches put
those together nice combination
so big sounds warm still great
definition though you know that I get
all mushy on you nice and clean
same thing if we start doing that with
the sum of the brass or the strings you
get these wonderful colors
another patch down in
companies
so that gives you somebody of that the
wonderful combinations you can create
with the sounds on the accompaniment
sort of things there's 540 plus styles
so you Boston over the rocks your swings
anything you like you can expand that of
course USB you can put anything you like
on the USB really can put audio on there
we can play that as well we can record
ourselves playing there can be audio so
that's where the USB Drive lives there
in the middle we've got your display all
of our rhythms our sounds are settings
the key transposing octave shifts all
that information is here in the jewel
display and that's great but we also
have the BK app now this is a free
download the arching store the ipad of
course the ultimate screen it's a
touchscreen so it's easy to get around
all my sounds all my Styles all of my
performance memories are just one touch
away that makes so quick to live all of
those parameters that I want to access
real fast and easy iPads brilliant i
look you could spend days on the BK non
and just kind of scratched the surface
there's a lot going in here music
