Creating a new user and extension by copying and pasting an existing user in Avaya IP Office. Considers which settings need to be modified when copying one user to create another.

another method of creating a new user to
copy and paste an existing user the
advantage of that is that the existing
user has the settings that you're
interested in
to do that click on start all programs
IP office manager and manager opens it
shows you all the IP offices on your
network click on the IP office that you
want to add a user to and then click on
OK copy and paste administrator as it's
also the password and click OK
the left hand side select user right
click on the name of the user that you
want to copy go down to copy right click
anywhere in the user pane and click
paste in the new user give the new
username
determine an extension number that's
available within your extension dialing
plan and give them that extension now
remember the email address the voicemail
code ne20 details and he call forwarding
details will all belong to the original
user so it's important to go and change
those if the existing user has a
voicemail code go in and delete it
tab across the mobility tub and make
sure that if that original user had
mobility set do you reset that for the
new user when you determine that the
settings of all being cleared of click
on ok then click on the floppy disk icon
select merge configuration and copy and
paste administrator and click OK
you've now copied and pasted an existing
user
