How To Install & Locate MySQL in Terminal.app on Mac OS X


This video shows how to install MySQL on Mac OS X

Please use the following command line to access MySQL with root account:

/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql -u root -p

After that the terminal asks you to enter the password, just hit enter again since there is no password for root.
