Annotating & adding comments in a Word 2010 document

A two minute tutorial showing how to use the Ink tool to annoate in Word 2010 & how to add comments in a Word document - both functions in the Review tab.

hi I'm going to show you a couple of
useful features that you can use in Word
2010 and that's annotating using an ink
tool and using the review tab up here to
add comments so let's have a look at how
you can use an ink tool in Word 2010 to
annotate a word document you can do this
in PowerPoint as well and i believe you
can do it in excel so if i just go up to
the tab see you've got the Home tab you
will be familiar with these standard
tabs in the program if i go across to
the review tab here you'll see over to
the right that you have start in King so
if i click on starting King i can either
just use the pen tool I can select a
color i can select a thickness and I
might just want to circle some words I
want to underline something for example
I might want to highlight something i
could be using this on a screen with
some students i might want i might be
marking a piece of work and I want to
annotate it's extra that's quite useful
to be able to use the ink tool either
the pen or highlighter obviously there's
a razor there as well so i can just get
rid of that and i can save that for just
go to file i go to save as i can save
that with the annotations so just to
recap that was going into the review tab
and that is click on clicking on
starting king and just using the buttons
up here
the second thing I want to show you is
again in the review tab and the new
comment feature you can use the review
tab in the comments if you're marking a
piece of work for example maybe a
student has submitted a piece of work
piece of work in a word document and I'm
marking the word documents i can click
on wherever I want to make the comment
so let's click there and I can just a
new comment and i might want to say well
done
that's some eight observation for
example and i mightn't might want to
make a comment somewhere else so again i
can just say new comments or whatever it
is and i can then just go to file and I
can save the document and that will save
again like the annotations that will
save any comments that you make so just
to recap those speeches are in the
review tab the starting king and the
comments
