How to insert check boxes and tick boxes in Word documents using the Developer tab

An explanation and demonstration of how to insert check boxes and tick boxes in MS Word documents. Also shown is how to quickly show the Developer tab in the ribbon so the controls can be entered.

there is a group called controls one of
the control units is the check box
content control
so what i can do is to use that control
to create the check boxes
so what I did with this I in certain the
incision . where I wanted to be
controlled to be and then I simply click
on it to place the Box in there
let's put another one in here and
another one in here
they also notice that wall so i can put
the checks in there and can take them
that there's a design mode here which
enables me when I choose design mode to
see the properties of all of the
controls
I want to change these controls here
from checkboxes two tix i need to do
that are going through the properties
and down in the bottom of the properties
the check simple
I can change so when i change the check
symbol i can insert is to tick outside
of the box box at all or a tick in the
box
I'll use the tip in the ones so i choose
that one and click ok now when I choose
ok
in this particular one I click in it but
nothing happens
that's because i have to turn design
mode off which enables the check and
kick boxes to be so when i turn off
design mode I can then click in that one
and there is my dick like it away if I
click on that one
remember i only change the box in that
particular control
so these two are still the side
but what I get to do is to change this
one to a chicken had no boxes to see how
it looks
some people prefer just a tick and those
surrounding pump
so in this case I'm going to turn on
design tired of the properties and I get
to say the check simple
I'm going to change - just a chip and i
click ok i'll leave the unchecked simple
as a box to show be the nothing
history click click on app click ok I'll
turn off design mode and now I see when
I sweep away that that particular box
could be trouble between the tick and a
box with night so I'm going to leave
that one as a pic no box and this one
we will go to design mode and properties
and will change the check symbol in this
particular one

it looks like a ticket it's just with
just a show you can put two different
signals into boxes so i will click ok
click I again and there is that
particular type of the stick
now turn off design mode and when I I'm
ticket
there is so remember that the

remember that in the controls group you
have the check box can be a checkbox if
you wish it is a matter of changing the
properties once you've turned on the
