the simple solution is to use a tripod
but who wants to look one of those
around everywhere they go
in this video I'll show you how to make
a camera stabilizer that is lightweight
and fits in your pocket for this project
you'll need a bolt one-quarter inch
diameter with course threads some string
that won't stretch and some kind of
small weight like this washer the first
step is to tie one end of the string
onto the bolt and since I'm an Eagle
Scout i used a lashing so it would look
nice you can do the same or just try
your best granny knot
by the way the length of the string
should be approximately equal to your
height
the next step is to tie the washer onto
the other end of the string
I finished by clipping the loose ends
and sealing the knots with the match the
stabilizer obviously installs the same
way as a tripod
to use it simply step on the washer and
pull up with the camera against the
tension of the string unlike using a
tripod the stabilizer makes it easy to
quickly pan and frame action shots when
you're done with the stabilizer it folds
up and fits easily in your pocket it
virtually eliminates vertical camera
shake and significantly reduces
horizontal shake too
you'll be amazed how much more
professional your photos and videos look
