MUZZLE FLASH TUTORIAL in Windows Movie Maker - EASY METHOD!

This tutorial is to help with making muzzle flashes in windows movie maker! It is very easy because I provide you with sound effects and photos in the link above.

hey guys welcome to stuns effects
tutorials today we're going to be doing
muzzle flashes and windows movie maker
that you can do this in other higher-end
editing programs like adobe after
effects but basically i do is overlay
image onto your gun but windows movie
maker is a bit more limited you can't
overlay video or pictures onto another
video basically all you need for this is
a toy gun so you can shoot the shot two
ways either from the front like this or
from the side like this it's pretty much
the same thing except to use two
different images of the muzzle flash so
initially you got you want to make it
look like there's recoil so when I pull
the trigger guard goes back course if
it's on fully automatic I just shake the
gun now that's it for filming
ok guys now before we even get into
editing there's a gun package that
provide for you in the link in the
description
basically it comes with four sound
effects and for pictures now these
pictures are already alpha channel so
you'll have to do any editing for them
they're already going to blend it over
your shot and I've got machine gun sound
effects got that silenced just got shot
gun cock and different muzzle flashes
summer for she got summer for pistols so
tommy said that we're going to get into
windows movie maker and load up our file
you can either imported from your video
camera or if it's already on the
computer just imported from the videos
so dragon into your timeline here and
here's my video
pretty basic not really think and the
first thing that we want to do is find
the spot where the shot hat so it would
be about let's meet their their belt
right and we're going to split their
split and go one frame forward again and
split again smell we zoom in here we can
see that we have our footage before our
one frame separately in our footage
after all we have to do is take a
screenshot of where we split this the
frame at first so we split right here so
this is we're going to take a screenshot
now for the old windows movie maker and
all the windows XP version there's a
little button down in the right corner
of your preview window and its looks
like a little camera click that and you
can save a screenshot but since Windows
Vista is being stupid right now I'm
going to have to use the snipping tool
take a little snippet of my preview
window and save it now what we're going
to do is download a program called gimp
this is a free program you can download
it from www.allsubs.org all we want to
go is click download here at the top and
I don't know for the same for your
computer screen but it's kind of hidden
under this picture here we get account
download give 2.66 installer for windows
in about 2,000 above it will bring you
to the source for sourceforge.net
website and it says please click here to
begin your download actually do that and
you just save the setup or run it and
installed gimp it takes awhile to
because it's a big program so we're
going to do is you come to this
interface here if you look on this first
window right here we go file open they
don't have to get too much into learning
this program to make muscle muscle
flashes because it's pretty basic but
you're going to go to find your
screenshot that you took it open it up
right now you're going to click file
again click open and you're going to go
find my muzzle flash that I provided for
you the link in the description you can
download it there you want to pick the
muzzle flash that best represents your
gun so why would probably be this one
right here
yeah the machine-gun side i click open
here we go we got right here now you see
all these checkboxes the back
this just means it's alpha so the
checkbox is what is going to be
invisible so you to do is click this
little square right here the toolbox
this is a selecting tool so you're going
to click it and in this window you to
select the muzzle flash select all
around it you get these little this
little square moving square so what you
do is hold ctrl and C for copy now your
other picture your screenshot you ctrl-v
to paste it in now you have to resize it
a little bit move it around so what
we're going to do is little too right
here is called the scale tool you're
just going to click it it was quick
click and drag this guy down here
you have to click here scale to probably
do it
click the move tool to move it around
however you need and click the rotating
tool right here just to adjust it to how
your gun books and then you can click
off it if you see that this this little
anchor beside my mouse means that if you
click it's going to be perfectly on your
photo so click and you got it right
there now you're going to save it
quality a hundred percent exit now it if
you load this picture back up in your
windows movie maker it's going to be the
edited version of your frame so this
right here is going to be this but we're
gonna have to do something to put it in
we're going to have to delete this frame
the separated frame that we separated
before from the other two shots to
delete it going to drag this into the
timeline right here so we're going to go
up one frame one and click split but we
still have all this excess picture so
we're going to click it and just click
delete it looks good still a little
blank because we don't have any sound
effects but we fix that we got a gunshot
hear you got a gun side let's just say
we use the normal gunshot forget line it
up right where our muzzle flash shows so
now the whole thing look like this it's
not too bad
so just go polish to this computer it
you're done with your footage so you can
add a lot more muzzle flashes and make
it an actual machine gun
right now I just did a semi-automatic
just for showing purposes but if you
want to spend a lot more time on it you
can make an automatic rifle just you can
have to take a lot of screenshots have
them about two frames apart each alright
