If all else fails, reset your mobile factory settings. Then try again. Could be a bad app. Plus a reset is suggested after update.

someone did it and this is their respond I did the factory reset...and the camera came back!...but then, even though I didn't install anything new, it blacked out again. So I tried again, camera came back...for now. Any ideas about why this might be happening?

Answer to their response Usually, when that happens, you are running another app that has the camera locked. The only way to know for sure is to see what's running, and try uninstalling things that are new since you are sure it was working.
If the camera works then, install apps one at a time, and see if the camera stays working for a few hours. Then add another, etc.

factory reset are you go to settings and
