My favorite animal for saltwater tanks has a pretty side and a deadly side.
Closed Caption:

I'm more Kellyanne mr. salt water tank
and this is mr. saltwater tank TV of all
the creatures to put in your tank
between the fish to corals and
invertebrates and not your dog
my for my favorite is seen enemies
there's nothing like seeing a scene
enemies way in the current of your tank
and it's even better when you can get a
clown fish to host and I mean you can
watch the relationship between the two
so in this episode of mr. saltwater tank
TV
i'm gonna be talking about an enemy so
that you can have success with them in
your tank seen enemies are actually pops
and have a symbiotic relationship with
algae such as the enemy gets the benefit
of the photosynthesis from the algae and
the LG gets a safe place to live there
over a thousand species of enemies
worldwide and i'm going to talk about
the scene enemies for the aquarium
focusing on the most common the bubble
tips long tentacles and carpeted enemies
and enemies have stinging tentacles I
can take down fish and invertebrates
so yes an enemy's heat flash in my
experience bubble tips and long-term :
enemies rarely catch fish in your tank
unless the fish directly swims into the
anatomy or the fish is very weak and
gets too close to that end
carpet enemies that's another story
they're cold-blooded killers
I used to have a green carpet in a my
wife's favorite fish that thang spot
Gobi one touch that fish to the anatomy
and it was gone
needless to say that carpet went bye-bye
therefore i recommend either a bubble
tip or long technical an enemy free tank
to help ensure a peaceful tank a piece
of advice and you here tossed around a
lot around see enemies is that you
should wait until your tank is at least
six months old before you put a seen any
minute now I couldn't find any
scientific evidence behind
why people say this but i don't think
that it's a bad idea certainly when
you're ten get set up letting it get
stable and it kind of getting used to
itself so to speak before you put a
sensitive creature like a scene enemy in
there
not a bad thing this is especially true
if this is your first saltwater tank
absolutely recommend waiting at least
six months before you put a scene in
there
see enemies can be sensitive and you
want your skills as a saltwater tank you
were to build before you put something
more challenging in your tank
let's take a look at each of the most
popular enemies for saltwater tank
bubbles of anemones are mainly green
rose colored and they attach themselves
directly to rocks sometimes are applying
your tanks and emissary down low
the question I get asked a lot is why
won't my bubble to the enemy
a lot good question no one knows what
makes the bubble tiffin any bubble or
not
sometimes they do sometimes they don't
know if your bb it doesn't bubble
it's not a bad thing so don't get
concerned bubble tip and enemies are
very common and they're very likely
carried by a local fish store
they also tend to be very Hardy as well
and make good pics for your first any
long technical and enemies look a lot
like non bubble tip bubble two Canaries
but long technical amenities attach
themselves to the base of the rocks
right at the sand
that's a dead giveaway that an enemy
you're looking at it's very likely a
long technical one carpet and enemies
well they also attached himself to the
base of rocks and quite often the first
dug into the same and attaches to the
glass of the bottom of your tank carpets
can also get very large and as I
mentioned they're also very good at
eating fish
yeah
all right Ellie knees and see enemies do
the two giant together
the answer is yes here's my sexy tank
powered by eko exotics panorama modules
now these LEDs are not super bright LED
they provide plenty of light but they're
not super high output leds and the Rose
bubbles up that's here in this is to
take it's doing fine underneath them
in fact it's even flourishing it's happy
it's going to be part itself it has
moved around every day and expands it
looks great and its getting bigger over
time telling me that it's happy so leds
grown enemies
absolutely now I can't sit here and say
this manufacturers leds well and that
one won't because everything is so
different that lady world is not a a
guideline to follow but I will say this
there's nothing wrong with giving your
enemies a lot of light it's certainly
the worst thing you want to do is give
them not enough light because they are
photosynthetic remember
so if you haven't seen anything you put
in your tank comes up to the top every
day it's stretching out as close as they
can to the service of your tank is
telling you that it's not getting enough
light
nothing's gonna hurt to put more
lighting on your tank if it feels that
it's too much life for it
they will move down in your tank find
another home so leds and enemies
absolutely they were wrong and it won't
hurt to have extra lighting on your
enemies
yeah
see an enemy SPS corals to those to
drive yes and now don't get me wrong i
see an enemy can certainly kill a piece
of SPS if it parks next to it and it
stings it for a long amount of time
however in my experience with my 90
gallon heavy SPS tank and my scene enemy
I've had mine enemy move all over my
tank it's parked itself next to plenty
of space colonies and even sat in front
of my superman Minecolony for weeks at a
time everyday expanding stinging that
colony
after a couple weeks to see any moved
away Superman money was happy as can be
pulse came back out and continue growing
so we'll singing the enemy take down a
piece of SPS sure it's a sensitive piece
I suppose they can do it I've never seen
it happen if i had an SPS tank I
certainly wouldn't say well I'm
absolutely not going to add a scene
enemy
now if you do it is an enemy you got to
do it with in mind that you're gonna
have to watch it if it parks next to a
piece of SPS really got to take the time
to move the enemy or move a piece of SPS
or just be happy if it kills your piece
of SPS so it's a given a take
yes I'll kill him but I wouldn't roll in
an enemy out of an SPS heavy tank and if
you do want to move in an enemy
make sure you don't tear its foot
carefully and gently massage the foot of
an enemy until it starts to let go
then keep working until the enemy is
free if you tear the foot that an enemy
will likely die
well we complain about seen enemies is
that they truly have a mind of their own
they're like a stubborn stepchild are
going to do what they want and you can
deal with it especially when it comes to
move it around your tank
this is try as you might have heard
about people putting an enemy on the
center of a rock surrounded by sand bed
putting the flow around it to discourage
that an enemy for move if they want to
get out of there
they're going to do it I've seen him
walk across rocks I've seen walk across
and then
doesn't matter they want to get from
this side of your tank to that time
they're going to do it and you can deal
with it
so if you put an enemy your tank be
aware it's going to move around
yes it would be perfect if it was great
there in the top spot down here and be
perfect
it might not be interested in doing it
if it doesn't going to move over there
and again you can do with it
and of course if you do see your scene
anyway
around actually think it's close to the
power head and a sponge filter to your
power head and help protect that an
enemy powerhead so chilling enemies out
just like that I'd want to get destroyed
in my power head it's not a pretty thing
they can trash your tank that can cause
your take the crash
if it happens while you're waiting
doesn't get taken care of
so they're going to move around they get
close to a powerhead protecting with
your piece of foam and overall remember
seeing enemies or creatures they're
animals just like your fish are going to
put one in your tank see if the lives it
doesn't we're just gonna go home well
not for you
you shouldn't be putting an enemy you're
taking fact that's going to be your
approach to keeping salt water animals
just going to get out of hobby because
this is it for you
it's all water tank even is about
responsibility that goes down even your
scene enemies
so that's an overview of seen enemies I
hope you guys have learned a lot
certainly i love to hear you're an enemy
stories and your pictures as well
you can leave them right on my facebook

Bubble Tip Anemones - What you need to know
Bubble Tip Anemones - What you need to know

Discussing the various needs of this species of anemones should help you keep one (or more) healthy in your reef for many years to come. The original BTA was purchased back in 2002 and is with me to this day, and the original Rose BTA was acquired in 2007. I've seen all the fun things they do, including splitting, spawning, climbing everywhere - and of course hosting happy clownfish around the clock. Here are some links to previous BTA vidoes: Rose BTA spawning eggs: ...
