Hey Oreos, today I have a pretty cool tutorial for you guys! This tutorial is my take on how to make pretty cool looking YouTube avatars, icons, profile pictures, whatever you want to call it, using an amazing gfx program, Paint.NET. what's going on buddy welcome back to
another tutorial video haven't done one
of these stories in a while but i think
is really useful in this coincides also
with my how to make a banner tutorial on
how to make a thumbnail
this is not to make a youtube avatar
icon or just any icon for that fact for
anything as emotional social media sites
now use icon if you don't want to use
your face as an icon anyone do something
like cool like you want to something
like this like you're on to something
like your banner like with photoshop or
paint on that she was i use then this
tutorial may help you but of course like
all much towards don't follow it step by
step don't make your thing
look exactly like my thing where you
just change the name
I don't want you to do that I want you
to use these tips I tell you to make
your own little maybe have a twist on it
ok so before I start this video before I
you know fall anything
do not copy me okay please don't copy me
follow these tips use your own advantage
if we do after this is your first time
using paint.net then you know maybe i'll
use my thing as a guide and then maybe
like add your own twist to it
ok but don't do mine please i want to do
your own thing so yeah so first off I'm
going to be using paint . now for this
tutorial if you guys want to have want
to use a photoshop thing go to one of
the video so yeah so first you want to
have a cool font or if you're not going
to have text on it depends on what your
profile picture want to look so if you
put if you want your profile picture to
just be maybe have like a face that you
want to do
going to your face with some cool
background effects just take a call a
picture of your face with like a green
background or follow color background
put that into paint on at some
background effects to it
so I'm gonna do something like what I
did with my channel which is right here
I'm do something similar issue this back
and not similar at all it's gonna be
doing so this looks pretty cool and i
have the transparent background which
looks cool ish actually and i'm going to
use letters from I so again if you want
depends on what your profile picture
look like if you want your profile
picture just a little be like on my
craft Apple you can do that but it will
look good if you make it simple but
sweet like this is as I think that looks
good for me
you don't have too much and you want to
make the text too small we can't read it
that isn't that's not good and you can't
you don't make it too simple like just
your name and a blue backdrop you want
to make it a good balance of simple but
flashy I think I didn't okay job with
that here i'm gonna show you something a
cool trick to do with both are pictures
that were really good
so get a good font i think to initially
pretty good that's gonna that's what i'm
going to be using and let's get started
so you wanna we're gonna make the image
size
go to image canvas size make it 800 x
800 needs to be a perfect square
- 800 with a hundred i hight do that
I like to get the Select tool select
everything just delete it or you can you
control a and delete because i want to
have a transparent background the right
now we get to your background if you
want the background to be a collar with
them a texture which is probably what
I'm going to do you can do that so I'm
just going to get color I'm going to do
let's do a ab light blue theme for this
tutorial a light blue
that's cool and i'm going to get a
texture so i really like the crumpled
paper texture theme so I'm gonna I'm
gonna still do that
it looks cool it looks simple and looks
nice so I'm going to control the on my
keyboard go to the layer underneath that
control via my keyboard keep canvas size
make sure you do that you won't see it
because the background of us but if you
check this box then you can see it
so I'm just going to do oh ok move it
anymore so I want you to do that
check it again to enable visibility if
I'm going too fast for you guys you just
double click the layer and where it is
motivated to multiply looks really good
you can see you can change the opacity
for make it light blue it's like that
and a thing you can do is you can move
the paper texture to be above a two and
you can make this to be multiplied and
then you can just it like that i was
going to only about last so once i think
this is good enough
so and if you want to merge these two
layers which I suggested you just go on
the top layer press this little button
here which has emerged layer down and
then they're all the one background
layer so cool trick I like to do is you
make a smaller square
Oh hold shift to make it a perfect
square and get a smaller square fill it
with no no i did not say it doesn't
matter which color white color
ok and then select now go to effects
object align center both
ok now the your little square will be
perfectly centered so now you just got
on select the black or an outline color
to go outside and then you just delete
the white and then i have a black
outline that will and i'll show it might
not look good now but you do want to do
this little tip which I'll show you go
to effects
I'm joking drop shadow and a drop shadow
that would look really cool your profile
picture
I promise you and if you want you can
make it a bit bigger make it we can just
you know we just the size so whatever
you want
I think that's a pretty good-sized you
make that you can even make the outline
white if you want
which might be better
so just put like this all the way up to
make a lie
whatever you want I think white I think
I'll go with the white for now change
the what do you go to effects they go to
adjustments hue / saturation or you can
do ctrl shift and you on your keyboard
to bring this up so yeah I want you got
that i'm going to work these two layers
so we have the background all fine and
dandy
so now i wanna make up the layer in the
middle of those two and i'm going to add
my texts I'm going to go to my tuna fish
font
i'm going to type in two
oh that's really small so make the size
bigger
I make such as the biggest it can go ok
so you can see it better
bold it okay i want to bold it sure
looks good and make its color
actually I'm gonna make its color white
for now so then i can select it and then
I can add ingredients to it if you click
the gradient tool once you select your
text click the gradient tool here and
that you don't have to do this is just
advanced stuff that I probably I'm
confusing you with
I'm just gonna do you can make it any
color you want so I'm going to make it a
gradient like that could look for me i'm
going to add an effect you can meet you
can leave it like that for watching if
you go to effects object
drop shadow and if you want to know how
I get all these effects on like I have
too many effects right here if you want
to get all those i watch my previous how
to make a banner video then you'll get
all these texts but if you go to object
drop shadow which some of you probably
won't have you can add a drop out of
that which I'm going to do like that
that looks pretty okay i think the color
scheme is wrong I should make this color
control shift you on the keyboard
default that i can change the hue
to be whatever I want
that looks ok that looks ok hopefully
you can see that so yeah so now what I'm
going to do is we're going to select the
text go to my move selected pixels or em
and if you go out to you if you do this
is how you adjust the size if you go out
a bit more you see there are two black
arrows which now you can rotate it so I
I it looks cool if you rotate it so i'm
going to rotate it a bit like I think
that way is good
maybe a bit more add some rotation to it
and there you go you might stop if you
want now and yeah if you go as you guys
are fine with how your profile looks
about that but now i'm going to do
something where I may go make a new
layer underneath the text this is this
magical effect and make it
I think black would look and make it
black so make like a black rectangle
underneath your texts like that
so now what you want to do with your
black rectangle is rotate that too to
the same amount here that looks like
your text got rolling over a little
black stripe which looks really cool my
opinion
so like that and i'm going to add a drop
shadow to that
- all right and I'm gonna go to image
adjustments go down with these arrows
transparency 0 I think work
just mention transparency and look at
that
now we have a transparent black
rectangle over a cool backdrop and you
can see everything and it looks really
cool
so you can stop there if you want um I
think it looks really good in my opinion
so far
again you can you can add like little on
other pictures which is probably a good
idea or if you want you can just do this
where you get the line tool get a white
line make it dashes white 435 and then
add like lines right there and then
duplicate it and add more lines there
and there you go now you have that cool
thing words of them
drop shadow and cool and how you got
that awesome little profile picture
so this is this might be a really
complicated for you guys at this toy is
really complicated for you
you first time paint on that users I'm
really sorry for all the complication

simple
I suggest you watch paint.net beginner
tutorial videos and how to install
plugins to move around that
so this is I think there's a cool on
profile picture for me this is it going
to be good
so now what you're done with your what
you're happy with your profile picture
you gotta go to file save as and save it
as a dot PNG and just name it whatever
you want i'm going to name it

and the same about to mind
you two vectors save it it should be
under having a megabyte easy
hit OK flattened and there you go now
you are done with your profile picture
there we go now i see you have your
snotty looking profile picture
you ready to upload to youtube now the
proof of a hundred by a hundred pictures

you that was at the actual amount that
you recommend so you use that now you
have an amazing look up looking profile
picture and I assure you the white back
the white outline with the shadow looks
really good like trust me
now you have your profile picture done
ready and looks really good and yeah
