How to Change YouTube Profile Picture Icon - Google+ Avatar

Hey how's it going everyone this is your wide
eyed and bushy tailed YouTube expert, Derral
Eves. Now every once in a while I'll get a
new request from some of my new subscribers
on how to do some basic things on YouTube.
And this subscriber was asking how to actually
change the channel icon on their YouTube channel.
Now some people might call it a profile picture
or others might call it a YouTube avatar,
whatever you want to call it it really doesn't
matter because I'm going to show you how easy
it is to change it. Let's take a look!
Ok, so if you're looking to change that avatar
icon, or your profile picture, what you need
to do is go on your channel. Once you're here
you can mouse over your picture here, this
little icon come up right here with the pencil.
Let's go ahead and click that and then it's
going to say basically "hey you know what,
you're linked to Google+ so you have to actually
change the channel icon in Google+ so let's
go ahead and hit Edit in Google+. That's going
to go ahead and want your Google+ page and
then bring in this area where you can actually
upload the other photo. So let's go ahead
and do that. And I prepared a little icon
here that I want to put as my profile picture.
So you can go ahead and adjust that like this,
once it's adjusted you can click this blue
button Set as Profile Photo and once you do
that it's going to give you the option to
share this, I'm not going to go ahead and
do that. And you can see it's now updated
on Google+ and if we go back to YouTube, let's
go ahead and do that, you can see that it's
now changed.
