Fixing Wii disk read errors WITHOUT an official cleaning disk!

I never had any trouble with my Wii until I tried to play my first dual layer disk game, Metroid: Other M. After exchanging the disk, thinking it was a bad disk, I realized the problem was simply a dirty lens. I tried to find an official lens cleaning disk but no retail outlets in my city had one so I made my own with some house hold items for free. I used a small piece of cardboard, some tape, a dvd disk, and a band-aid of all thing! The following is a list of Wii dual layer disk games that may give you problems if you have a dusty lens.
Super Smash bros. brawl
Mario Kart Wii (maybe)
Metroid Other M
Xenoblade Chronicles
Samurai Warriors 3
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love

After using this home made cleaning disk I had no more problems with my Wii reading disks.

couldn't find a wee lens cleaning disc
in stock anywhere you can always make
your own and that's exactly what I've
done right here
so what I did was I took a small piece
of flat cardboard
this is just the handle the small piece
of cardboard and i use some vinyl tape
to tape it to a DVD disc so we got to
handle the disc which goes into the
drive and then we need something that
can actually wipe the lens and white the
lens
I used was our to fabric band-aids you
want them to come off of the disk but
when he makes them an inch so that it
can wait the work actually touch and
weight the lens
some people will recommend using a piece
of actual disk cleaning cloth and
thing and dab of alcohol on it that's
probably probably the best way to do it
but that's not what I did I went with
this and this worked
the lens is located on the back end of
the wii but what happened in digital
disc so he he simply simply slide this
in to your drive
the old small bit of resistance and then
you get to the end in the whole 20
further
so right now that fabric band-aid is
resting on the winds and you just want
to give it a little back and forth just
to wipe the lens pull it back out
and with any luck
your we will not be able to read
dual-layer discs
