from David Bell calm and in today's
tutorial I'm going to show you a must
run utility on your Mac you don't need
to download this so there will be no
link in the sidebar
it's built into your utilities folder
and it's called disutility so to get
here you go to find her
open your finder up and go to your
Applications folder scroll down to the
bottom two utilities folder and here
you're going to find a lot of utilities
that come with your mac and also that
you installed yourself
so you're going to go to the program
called disk utility just open that up
and you're going to be brought with many
options to do here you have a whole list
of stuff up here that you do not need to
do
I'm disk utility is not only for
repairing permissions you can do many
things like that like you've got to race
your hard drive and reinstall you can
create new images to secure files many
things it's a cool program you should
really check it out
but specifically what I'm looking at
right here is how to clean up my mac so
I'm just going to click my hard drive
you have the option of other clicking
your actual macintosh HD or your hard
drive if you just want to clean it up
i recommend you go with the hard drive
not the physical hard drive itself
so then you're going to be brought up
was a bunch of stuff up here first aid
erase raid and restore
don't worry about that just click first
aid and that will show up automatically
when you open up your hard drive
so basically what i want to do right
here is I just want to hit repair
permissions this to me feels like the CC
cleaner for windows
this is kind of like the mac version
called disk utility on what it does is
that if you have anything wrong with
your macintosh which is going to look
for and it's going to repair it
simple as that so i recommend you guys
do this every month and it will really
increase your axe performances
yeah once a month i do this i usually
get a long list if you've never done
this before it could take a while
10 to 15 minutes probably but it's only
take a few minutes for me but I'm not
going to do that so all you need to do
is hit repair disk permissions and it
will do its thing make sure you're not
like a look and it's far or anything
this let it work and go take a shower or
whatever you need to do
just like that so i hope you guys have
