Best HD Video Converter! Free and Already on your PC

Many people ask me how I convert my videos. This video is basically the answer to everyone's questions. I use Windows Live Movie Maker to convert my HD videos. If you have Windows Vista or 7 then you already have this program. Nothing in this video will work in Windows XP though sorry.

There may be better methods of converting videos but this is what i use and so far I have gotten the best results I could find as far as quality and limitations go.

Different computers may have different codecs though so I cannot guarantee that this will work with all cameras.

I use this method to convert all of my videos from my Kodak Playsport video camera. The camera records in .mov (QuickTime) so that is not compatible with many programs on my computer such as Sony Vegas. Movie Maker converts the video to .wmv so I can edit with Vegas.

here and today I have an exciting video
for you
i'm going to show you how to convert
video in HD
many people are always asking me crazy i
got a reviewer
what do you do how do you convert your
videos you need to convert it
well my camera is a kodak playsport well
it's a good camera but the problem is
recorded in da mov format which is the
foot time format and it does not work
well with my Windows 7 computer
mostly just for programs such as Sony
Vegas so i found a free way on already
on my computer to convert these videos
and that way is windows live movie maker
if you have Windows 7 or Windows Vista
you already most likely have this
program on your computer if not you can
download it for free
so here's what you do you start up movie
maker first and then to drag video I any
of the video here on my desktop
I'll just drag this test video in here
and i'll just stick it right down in
there
so then once it's here
video will play just like normal I
cannot get this to happen though however
on sony vegas when i put in vegas
nothing happens but that's why I'm
converting it
so what you'll do is basically pretend
that you're rendering the video which
you are but don't change anything once
you're in moviemaker so what you do that
is go up to par save movie and then a
few options if your original video was
in 1080p then you render in 1080p your
videos in high definition 720p you
render and that that's usually what I do
because I recorded that setting anyway
so click on 720p and then I'm just going
to name it
test convert you can name it anything
I'm just name it so then right now it's
rendering and it will
this is actually pretty fast compared to
other convert
cause I tried this gives the best
quality of them all and it also is
smoothest in the fastest so I'm just
going to go as compared to the video
once this is done
ok so we're almost at the end and there
we go
the movie is now saved a hundred percent
and here it is right here so i can open
up the folder and then i can go play it
and it's the same exact video
nothing has changed either and the same
thing is its stone HD and it is even in
the windows media audio file which is w
on ma think with and that works
basically on any program that is on your
Windows machine which is fabulous now
it's compatible and is a matter of fact
it looks basically identical to be 4i
don't see any problems at all
so then i'll do is i'll go over in vegas
what that load up
so now I have a new project in Sony
Vegas it's just a typical project so i
have my project media area over here
I'll just go out here i have the test
video that I converted just drag it
right in
stick it in there drag it down into the
video and there we go
beautifully done the videos in their
plane and then all i have to do is do my
normal entity render it and there you go
so guys screams ipod review I hope this
is helpful i've got a lot of questions
and it's kind of difficult to explain
because people just for some reason to
understand
so if you're one of those people
hopefully this helped you out and
hopefully you'll find this helpful and I
think it's the best video converter that
you can get for free in HD and that's
already on most of your computer's most
people already have windows vista or
seven
and if you have enough XP you might want
to consider upgrading because if you're
going with HD video
that's kind of your thing so don't
expect older operating systems to be
able to cover that
however there probably are there
converters but this is cheap easy and
fantastic and it turned out nice
