well good morning everybody I'm Steve
Mon telly and welcome to my year-end
wrap-up of which wallets are making it
into the new year
as you can see I've got a pile of
wallets right here but this is nothing
compared to the pile that I removed from
the wallet box i'm selling a few if you
look at the you tube header you see a
little link to some all of them selling
i'm going to keep putting more up there
as time goes on
let me go over what I'm keeping and
what's going into the new year
one of the ones i'm keeping is the H
this is one of the original Evan wallets
it's a little bigger so you can hold
cash in this one this is the Saffiano
leather which is we're still looks like
plastic
anyway that is the age to stand
saddleback leather the cardholder and
hold about four cards but it's
saddleback always great quality and I
hear I hear the Saddleback has some new
offerings and I've seen a mom I have a
pick one up yet but they're still kind
of thick
you know it's not really right for me
but that's certainly not to say anything
against saddle backs quality just some
people like the thick and some people
don't like the thick
anyway this is an inch this is the
multiple in the Saffiano leather this is
one of the first go-around of the
multiple anyway
that will be stand and the phils wallet
of course i love the phils wallet this
was a fifteen-dollar Phil's ward
now i will raise the price - 24 which I
still think is very very good for phils
wall Phil does a great job
he turns them inside out basically he
recycles leather and he puts the you put
so whatever this is called this goes on
the outside and the smooth leather goes
on the inside another saddleback is
staying this is the business card holder
I've used it as a cache folder before by
by reconfiguring got to go like this to
hold cash in one side cards and the
other side
saddleback Stan this is a zeros wallet
zer 0 Z 0 has always been an interesting
wallet holds about four or five cards in
here got a cash-strapped on the back
this got this big thick really hard kind
of rubber piece here and that's what
holds the cash-strapped on
so these zeros will be staying and
another ain't this is the ancient
multiple in their genuine leather
now I think that's a little confusing
genuine Saffiano because it makes a
fianc out fake but it looks fake anyway
but uh this is the age to multiple and
genuine leather and another Hispanic a
lot of angst here
this is the new version of the fold
wallet versus the one with only one slot
on the side so the slot here and a slot
here now
the thing i have to caution everyone
about ancient is why we put out a great
wallet
the pockets are really really tight in
these so it's going to take you a couple
of weeks to be able to work two cards in
here easily
I never used for that loan but just be
aware that it is going to take a while
to break in and change the wallet a
colonel littleton the number 33
i would sell this one I would not really
but I put my initials in that i will not
do that again because if I do want to
sell it it's very it's a very difficult
sale but the colonel always puts out a
great wallet and i really like the
number 33 that will not be going at all
but that's Carl staying the Bandit which
i reviewed a few days ago
very small very tiny wallet just got a
band around it
why they call it the Bandit and made out
of a kind of medium gray leather but
it's all right
bad at stand until next year another
Colonel littleton this is the original
front pocket wallet once again
Colonel puts out a great product that
Stan my another arranged this is the
original fold
you see on the original it has a lot on
this site no slot on that side
so that's staying what else we got here
the bellroy the card sleeve the only
bellroy then i would actually call slim
my opinion of bellroy is is while I
think the quality is ok and people have
disagreed with me on
that they had quality problems I don't
think bill roads are slim at all
the only thing the only Bell ride do you
think as slim as this one right here the
card sleeve
no lining and very thin leather that is
slim ain't this is the cardholder this
is the original saffiano leather kind of
felt interior little smaller version
cannot hold cash cash sticks out a
little bit over the bottom of the top
here but tastes great wallet
this is the jujubes wallet from Chiang
Mai Thailand
I like I like this a lot it's very well
done
it's very it almost makes me feel it's
it's it's a bit zen-like you see this
song is just all perfect in here just
all perfect anyway
nice wallet jube chiang mai another
range this is the Kayden wall and I
don't believe this is out for general
consumption yet once again
very nice of finish work on it pockets
are are very tight
so take a while to break those in lets
the Saddleback small ID wallet full of
the Saddleback Wallace generally can't
use any of them except for the small ID
like I said a saddle back has come out
with some new styles so I possibly be
checking those out in 2014 but i really
hate to spend money on a saddle back
because they are generally much thicker
than I like this is the only 1i find
usable small ID
this is the X let me like I was kind of
hard on the X let me last year
I changed my opinion the excellent is
good just don't try stuff too much in it
but i do like the extra lemon law
ah the jack henry wallet
the jack henry was the big surprise of
the year the jack henry holds six cards
and six bills very easily it's very
small very well done nice nice interior
color on this orange like Jack Henry lot
Jack Henry's a right under a hundred
dollars but a real quality item
the only elastic wallet making it into
2014
is the ub illusionist now this is the
project is a kickstarter project from
Stephen greenberg did a great job on i
really like the illusion is because of
the cash pop in the bottom got cash
holder right in the middle you go like
that and the cash pops out the top
very nice check mark took him a couple
of times to get it done on Kickstarter
but you got it done made more than his
minimum asking and it was a great
product
oh but also got here i've got i have got
the Mitchell money clip wallet this is
the American cowhide version and the
Mitchell product is really really good i
mean it's got this disc lip is an
amazing thing
this is a stiff piece of metal it unless
you take a pair of pliers and bend it
that's the only way that clip is going
anywhere
let me grab a couple things here this is
the other horween leather Mitchell money
clip that i'm currently using up
actually got the two wall of thing going
currently I have been doing the two
wallet thing for a while
this now you'll see I've been doing a
little a little redo work on this one
this is the modern industry leather
wallet and note a few reviews back that
there's a big difference between the
black modern industry and the brown
modern industry so I'm just trying to
get the letters stay together right here
just a little bit better
it's not too bad but I'm just doing a
little work on that but I'm carrying the
cash in the Mitchell money clip
I've got a couple of cards in that side
three cars in that side
got some of my business cards there a
couple cards there
this is what I'm currently carrying in
the pocket right here these two so of
course those will be staying
ah hey can't forget the capsule
minimalist wallet
this was the surprise hit of last year
this was a really good kickstarter
project very popular good construction
really like it a lot
don't use it a whole lot at this point
but it does get used so it will stay in
the pile would be left here
this is another another another ancient
Wallach
this has got the new and a strap on it
it's it's no longer the rubber strap
it's more of an elastic on here but this
one is very nice because of the finish
on the inside
very pretty very well done it's a it's a
business card wallet with one slot on
the outside for some type of card
business cards and and credit cards fit
in there so that's the AIDS business
card wallet and last but certainly not
least is the reload waxed canvas
now it doesn't look like much but this
is a good stealth wallet
I even took out the even took out the
velcro that came with it a little too
out a little bit fifteen-year-old boy
like but the reload wallet made
Philadelphia nice wallet
let's see last would be the one money
clip
i'm currently using often on this is the
carbon fiber designs carbon fiber money
clip
let's say once in awhile it gets used so
I'm keeping it
but that's it that's what's going into
2014
i am going to try and change things a
bit in 2014 in that i am going to pretty
much lay off doing the elastic wallets
from Kickstarter i'm going to try and
cut down the Kickstarter a wall it's
quite a bit and I'm going to focus more
on small leather shops run by just one
or two guys that are doing really cool
really quality work guys that have a
passion for what they do and do a great
job at it
Allah Mitchell money clips just Dave
Mitchell doing the job there so he's the
kind of easy to kind of shop that i'm
going to more focus on a 2014 other now
we'll see how it goes from there
