hello and welcome to another episode of
in the studio today I'm joined by Sarah
Jackman read he's going to show us how
to create a pop-up card
yeah
I Sarah well hello now we've got amazing
pop-up card you're going to show us
today
this looks very clever indeed can't wait
to see how that's made so what's first
okay i'm going to show you how to do the
actual pop-up mechanism first aid stuff
so I've cut a piece of card here which
is just slightly smaller than that card
blank
ok that is one of the gorgeous card
black on the outside
he's a six-by-six I think that yes it's
just interesting speech slightly small
that it and I've just put a layer of the
nice gorgeous paper after that one so
i'm going to look going centimeter and a
half in each side
okay look it's got these lines on it so
I landing the measuring this side from
the center . going to go for the Center
for out okay three in
and again for on this side and go 64 up
again
reset sorry three centimeters
6 alright so that we have that marked
out we're going to cut through that the
craft knife just following the line okay
very nice once we need to school on
these top
ok there we need to remember to cut the
vertical lines and school horizontal
ones exactly a full partner
ok so then we need to pull this bit out
and obviously fold those back I say and
then you've got ya also get their step
I can call this one slightly different
fold their fold there but because it's
one sides taller than the other when it
fold back like so it needs to find it so
I'm sorry I saying I got ya so I've got
one of these from the gorgeous cards
again but this time so that the stripe
confidence blue
ok I'm just going to put this because
obviously we've got a little windows and
you there so we'll just put some card
piece of contrasting paper inside
okay i'm going to use this craft lovely
pink craft tape so this actually comes
free doesn't it with and issue 57
attention as you cross creativity
magazine so if you pick up that issue
you'll be able to get this is a
government is already coming
it's really lovely realize this i'm just
gonna rather than stick this down i'm
going to use this tape that's beautiful
it's very little obsessed with pak-rat
shapes
it's just so hard because many of them
then you're not really there we go
fantastic very nice know and then you
need to place that inside so we'll go in

extra bit of contrast and also to help
cover that crease in the middle i'm just
going to add another little I quite like
this the pattern that matches up there
so we'll just add a little piece of
paper to the front
don't worry too much on their very nice
just makes it a little bit just cover
the police and i really like this
pattern paper that's nothing
so I'm just going to add a little piece
along their UK very nice
so now we need something to go on our
little pop-up statement that's right and
if you got in mind got these lovely
little decoupage adore images and either
from another cup mount any c57 they are
yes and you can find lots of other
projects in the magazine featuring
gorgeous and your mathematical tools
cute little ones which is what it like
sock bunnies and she's very lot where ok
there we have our two girlies very keet
need to add them card you put on their
bearing hangs so again using the the
tape gonna make some bunting can this is
very easy i just lay that down not drive
speak a little bit fiddly and then you
just squeeze it together
hey so I just do three on this one but
obviously you can carry on as much you
much as you like on
ok so i need to attach that along the
top ok little bit of glue on there will
be covered in a minute so you think okay
very nice and then we'll just make a
couple of blows
very cute and then we've got some of the
lovely these great again come out
buttons fantastic not now you can use
either side for any and i think i might
go for the plain soy yeah we go
who got a con class is also matches the
oh yes from the card can have a little
border again to mark that that please

nice nice border and really get why i
love that one
we go we're just going to pop it in
their way up in line up you just keep
going along for anything
we need to cut that down too much from
panel user for touch that and i'm going
to take another strip of this type man
lovely tape just to add another layer so
there we have our a nice contrast but
also an area where we can we can put all

looks lovely just gives it an extra
critical yeah and as you can see i just
added these little which you can just
talk glue underneath there
ok I'll just to keep it a little guy

yes to get a bit sturdier yes little bit
folding bounding the band also is an
extra bit of decorated yet so i have
also made these lovely little flowers
very very simple or large petal punch is
definitely a favorite that one it's
great isn't it
and we've got obviously just a piece of
card when I just add some strips
ok just punch them out you got perfectly
forward making flowers I just long for
satisfying my want to do get my stamp
pad for him oh yeah my posting tool and
they just have that little bit ashamed
of them want to put one up there it's
nice to just mix and match its hair
definitely and then some more of these
little buttons
we ok you so that is obviously our basic
sort of design left leg and then what
I've done with that one move to this one
just to give it a little help to use the
stickers for the ultimate dicom paper
perak ok the sentiment i made stamp
something on their course and also
because they're quite thick these cards
I thought it'd be quite nice to actually
do something to keep in place saying so
again just a little piece of now I say
that's really classes of all I've
dollars that she trimmed it and punched
a hole in the hole and then added a
piece of that's nothing seemed so I
don't through entirely or not brilliant
