all right this is a video on how to
combine multiple PDF pages into one big
PDF is a lot for school I'm in school
right now and a lot of my books are in
PDF format but they are separated by
chapter so i have to go through every
single chapter and read you know
individually every single page
it gets annoying and so I like to
combine into one single page so i can
just sit there and just go all the way
down the list so you've got a whole
bunch of PDF so you need to combine this
is this is a video for you so i will go
first of all to my finder and i'll show
you where I've got the pdfs
so right here is a whole list of all my
books i'm using for class right now i've
downloaded from the internet and they're
all in PDF format the problem is i want
to be able to read them all at once in
one page so i need to combine every
single one of these
so the best way to do that is to use
automator you having these I'm there yet
you don't know how to use it on a mac
it's fantastic it's the best thing you
can do if you want to stay with tons of
time on repetitive tasks just learn how
to do automator it will save you so much
time so we're gonna use automated for
this so you can find it in applications
open another finder here
applications and then automator it's a
this little guy right here
just double-click on we're going to
create a new workflow so choose that and
automator actually already has a process
for doing this make it really easy for
you they even have a bunch of other PDF
options for you but we're going to go to
pdfs and
go to combine PDF pages just drag and
drop it over to the right
that's the operation want to perform
now we need to tell me which files to
pick from our computer and performance
operation on you do that by there's a
couple different ways but you go to
files and folders and I like to just
choose get selected finder items so
anything is selecting your finder will
be pushed into this automation process
and then automator will spit out what
you need to do
so this is set up this is all you need
you just do these two options get
selected finder items and combined PDF
pages and you're ready to go so now the
next step is to go to where you saved
your PS its good idea to save all the PS
you want to combine move into one single
folder so they're all in the same spot
it will be way easier for you and
automated will like you a lot more so
save them all in one folder and then all
you have to do is just select them
select every single one that you want to
combine and go back into automated now
they're selected these are all the PS i
want to combine now they're selected go
back in the automator
and since it says get selected finer
items you're ready to go you just could
run
give it a second takes a minute this is
taking all the PFC selected from your
finder combine them into one big PDF
with which you can do whatever you want
with save it
send somebody encrypt it whenever you
need to
it's kind of like sipping a file or
compressing a file into one file
so that's it it's done click on results
and there's your combined PDF page
double click on now look
page 1 of 613 so I've gone and and
combined 613 pages worth of PDF
documents into one big document and I
can do whatever I want with it now i can
we save it and then send somebody I can
go through and just read it and do some
searches up here you know whatever you
need to do is it's performs as if it's
one big PDF because it is
that's it using automator learn how to
use it and use this to help you in your
daily life because it's going to save
you tons of time
