Watch Blu-ray discs on your PC (without ripping or paying for software)

I'm tired of seeing videos and guides that I'm pretty sure the authors don't even test themselves. If you can excuse my dreadful voice, hopefully this video will help you turn your otherwise-redundant Blu-ray drive into something that can be used to watch... er...

...yeah, so after a few stressful sessions spent searching for Blu-ray playback methods, I finally found something that works for me. I've tried the much-recommended VLC plugin, some suspicious looking free software - nothing worked and I ended up settling with MakeMKV's ripping capability. After some messing about, I figured out how to just 'play' the goddamn disc, and in this video I try to show you the steps.

hi guys welcome to a quick video
tutorial on how to play blu-ray discs on
your pc and if like me you probably
bought a blu ray disc drive for your
computer
foolishly thinking that you you'll just
be able to play the blu-rays
you'll probably have found that this is
not the case
it's not that simple found a few methods
on google
none of which have really been effective
for me
oh one you might have seen is the two
paid for software things such as a
cyberlink powerdvd who really wants to
pay for some software to play a blu
either the paid for on a blue a drive
that they're paid for
not me another one which actually works
it's just a little time consuming
starting make MKV and this will allow
you to rip the blue 80 a computer person
is too time consuming all i want to do
is put the blu-ray and watch it
we will be using make him Cavey but not
for that reason

and you want to download for windows
I don't have access to a mac so I
haven't been able to test that you
probably post it in the comments if this
work for you
I don't know but yeah i'll be
downloading for windows so you want to
save that file to your computer and then
install it
I already have that done and I don't you
know I don't really need to show you how
to do that anyway so yeah
once you have that done you want to get
VLC head over to video learn dog and
again i'll post a link to that in the
description for 32 that uses and just
everyday users people who don't know
what that means
you just want to hit they'll see this
will work for nearly all versions of
Windows
you see when they to do XC there is a
64-bit version should you wish to use
that you want to click other systems
windows and then down here you'll see
download VLC for windows x64 this is the
version I music to the best of my
knowledge is experimental but i know i
had any issues with that yet
so once that's installed the next thing
you want to do is run make MKV so you'll
be greeted with this screen and if you
open your drive the animation plays a
gold only just like that
read the disk
so yeah once loaded you your picture
click that big icon
you can't miss it access the disk
see the name of the blue right there but
anyway you want to click file and stream
you want to do it quickly you can see
that icon that you can just click that
to the best of my knowledge what this
does is it strips away the encryption of
the disk which is worse
well I think stops you just viewing the
blue a negatively
they'll see your windows media player I
could be wrong but anyway what's us done
you'll be able to see this link here and
why I think this does is it plays it
locally on your system
I'm not sure exactly how it works
anywhere you want to right click that
link and copy link location and head
over to your browser is Firefox as you
can see and paste that link in and
you'll be great with a screen identical
to this one should be just one link and
you'll want to click that is usually
works truck titles
I know you want to find the main movie
and in my experience it's always been
web struck title 0 and if you see the
duration is nearly two hours
this obviously going to be a key you can
once you found out how to do this
backtrack and click on their loved ones
and you might be able to find some of
the special features but anyway for now
we're going to talk to 0 and get the
m2ts file unless all the differences
between them to the just the TS
I haven't experimented with out but for
me this was always just worked so i just
can use that
yep so right click copy link location
now you want to open VLC is open
you want to click media an open network
stream or control and and you want to
paste the link we just copied into that
bar and it's as simple as clicking play
during the first 10 seconds or so you'll
see some glitching
but once a scum them the rest of the
movie place one you can navigate you can
for screen you can do everything but all
you have is the main movie for it when
you're done
I'm not sure of its necessary but i find
it is good practice to to cancel that
stop reading from the disk and then from
there you can just reject it
so yeah about runs that video up hope it

the future maybe with a script or

I think that was my first video tutorial
using my voice no less

as you can see is a little bit of a
procedure but once you've got it down
it really doesn't take any more time
than actually playing a blu-ray honor a
natural blu-ray player on your TV and
one thing tonight is that make him Cavey
is like a shower
that's why is that
but you can uninstall it and redownload
the latest version and keep on using
that way
plus I've done that for quite a while
and i haven't had any issues with it
