today i'll be demonstrating how to
transfer your outlook express email
account into the microsoft office
outlook program this is my Express
account with my inbox my emails and all
my data first let's go and open an
internet browser and type in www move my
email . com and the top browser address
bar and once this loads scroll down
to the outlook express to outlook and
click learn more
that the outlook express to outlook page
go ahead and I'm going to go ahead and
download the demo and purchase the
software ok outlook express to outlook
is now downloaded and installed on my
computer i'm going to go ahead and run
once running Alec expressed outlet goes
to the first window just the start menu
go ahead and click start outlook express
to outlook will then lists all of the
accounts of all the folders within the
accounts in my Outlook Express go ahead
and select all the accounts that you'd
like to transfer all the folders in my
case i'd like to transfer all of them
and then click Next
outlook express what now ask for the
save location where we like to save
these files are these folders so that
they can be transferred to your new
computer and into outlook i'm going to
select the e dr that's my jump drive and
I just have a lot of space on that jump
drive and be sure that you do as well so
that you can save all of your data all
of your emails to that one drive
go ahead and click Next outlook express
is now ready to export all the data go
ahead and click next again and in my
situation I don't have very many emails
in my Outlook Express account and so the
transfer went relatively fast your
transfer could take two minutes or it
could take 30 minutes or more
ok the files have now been exported into
the drive that I've selected I now need
to transfer these files to the folder to
my new day new computers desktop and
import them into outlook here is the
drive that they are all saved 2 i'll
need to remove this drive and plug it
into my new computer
ok I'm now on my new computer and i'm
going to run microsoft office outlook
and the version i have here is 2007
now with Microsoft Outlook running going
to go to file and then import and export
that'll open the import and export
wizard and the automatic automatic
highlights is import from another
programmer file that's what we are going
to choose and then click Next
it will then ask us what type of file
we'd like to import we're going to be
importing outlook express for . x 5 . x
6 . x or Windows mill on this machine
that uses outlook express six that's
what most Alec express programs are go
ahead and click next now outlook will
tell you that there's no inner kitten
internet accounts found to import this
is normal and natural go ahead and click
OK
it will then ask you would you like to
import email messages and addresses from
Microsoft Outlook Express or windows
mail at this point you like to you'll
need to say yes Alec will then
automatically find the files on your USB
drive and import those emails into
outlook this is all an automated process
and we'll go quite quickly in this
situation because i do not have a lot of
emails okay so all the data has now been
imported in and my microsoft office
outlook will now look just like my
outlook express account
