How to scan a picture/document into your computer (Windows 7)

How to scan a picture/document into your computer (Windows 7)

Video starts at 1:42

Here is a video that might help you step by step, or may just point you in the right direction.

I got very frustrated trying to do this, so I did what anyone does...Google what to do...And I found nothing that helped me...So once I fucked around for a bit I found out how to do this...So I thought I would make a quick video hoping that it helps anyone else that might be having the same problem (I have/used the canon MP240 printer/scanner)
I had to scan 131 pictures of babies for our grad ceremony....and it took some time to do...but all was well.

Hope it helps.

enjoy

what a mess
you all know that means it means she's
getting done
ok you are probably really frustrated if
you're watching this video because i was
about three hours ago until I figure
this out how to scan something
all right I have the canon MP 40 it's a
printer / scanner and also works as
photocopier
but let me get to the point I'm a grade
12 student I was asked to edit all the
baby pictures into a slideshow I didn't
want to use a slideshow
I want to use Sony Vegas and turn into a
video but either way i have a physical
photograph that needs to be converted
into a digital file
so here is how you do it take your
picture or document or file or anything
put it facedown on your scanner now my
scanner has a little black line that you
see whenever you scan something so i
like to avoid this edge here so i always
put it there and make sure that picture
is nice and even
because it will be crooked when you
start now here's the part that you're
all asking up before i start that
installed cannon software which crashed
every single time I opened it
which really pissed me off and I went to
their website and updated all the
firmware and it still doesn't work so i
gave up and use my computer skills to
figure this out and and well i prevailed
I figured it out so here is how you do
it
okay i have a variety of buttons here
do not push any of them okay first of
all I know you like my wallpaper
I took it myself actually ok so let's
get to it
type go to your Start bar and type in
scan
enter and got microsoft office document
scanner open that now you're going to
have black-and-white black-and-white
from color page color and grayscale
now i have colors selected just like
that no because I have a colored picture
I want two colored copy of it so click
on color they have this little logo here
click on scan will say waiting for ball
to warm up or whatever
you can hear it scanning you can see
it's progress
it's done
yeah
and here's what it's can I have a
picture right here
it's all done now i can save it so I
want to save it would you like to save
changes yes I want to save it to my
desktop
i'm going to call it ASDF and it saved
now i can open it in paint because you
know I obviously have this white bar
that I don't want so I'll just cut out
what i want i want that move it up there
great in there save picture would you
like to see the changes yes they would
now i can open this and that is how you
convert physical photograph into a
digital photograph
thank you for watching please feel free
to subscribe
you know I really don't give a shit Wow
Oh an awful video

Time lapse photography of a 3D print on a Makerbot Replicator. This is my first print at .1mm layer height. There is a significant increase in detail compared to printing the same model at .2mm height. It takes longer, but in a print like this it is worth it. The layer ridges are still visible, but are much less evident. .2mm is fine for general printing, including things such as brackets, toys, and iPhone docks. When you have a model with fine detail, give .1mm a try I think ...
