In part 2 we look at specifally how to restore the lost or corrupted database, mount it then swap out the restored good copy of the database with the temporary Dial-tone database. Then to finally merge the Dial-Tone data with the restored data bringing everything back to life! We also look at minor configuration change to your database path that occurs after the swap that you should be aware of! a part 1
by dismount teen this database
and then we took the database file
we move the database file into a backup
folder
here and we took the lock files and also
copy them into this folder

with everything moved what we want to do
is
now mount the database K it's right here
at this
point where we create the dial tone
database

there's going to be a window of time

and will create the Recovery Storage
Group
the Recovery Storage Group was created
successfully now the key point right
here is that the Recovery Storage Group
has been created but it is not mounted

this point we're gonna go into NT backup
ever going to restore the database
if we pick the right back up here's the
storage group for backup
ever gonna start to restore so the key
thing right here which is very important
when you go to use Recovery Storage
Group is that the the two databases are
in place the original source for foreign
and the dial tone

to each other
when I go to perform the restore its
gonna see that the original group is
mounted
and that the target group the Recovery
Storage Group is not mounted
is not bill to recover or to restore it

into the Recovery Storage Group now if I

command let I would have to make sure
that the Recovery Storage Group is Mark
to be overwritten
so I can perform this process
