WECHAT: BACKUP & RESTORE CHAT HISTORY MESSAGES EASILY

You can easily backup and restore your Wechat history from one device to another (eg phone to phone, phone to ipad, phone to computer, ipad to tablet, etc)

Important note: If you get an ERROR while trying to upload or download, just keep pausing and restarting. I had to do it like 40 times and it took me 3 days to do, but all good now.

While on wechat with all your message you want to sync to another device do this:
- on the top right click the 3 vertical dots
- click on Settings
-click on general
-then click on "Backup/Restore Chat History
- click on backup (once complete you have 7 days to restore (download) the history onto you other device.

-Once backup is complete, log in wechat on your other device
- again click on the 3 vertical dots on the top right
- on the top right click the 3 vertical dots
- click on Settings
-click on general
-then click on "Backup/Restore Chat History
- And now you click on "RESTORE"

After restore is complete you should have all your chat history including message, videos, photos, etc

Important note: I recommend everybody to link your Wechat to your email with no delay. This can save you time and headaches later on...trust me!

ok so i'm going to show you guys how to
backup your chat messages on WeChat so
basically from one phone to another
so for instance I have my wechat on here
i have my chance on here and I want to
do is be able to log in a wee chat on
this phone and sync all of my we chat
messages on the here as well and there's

open up we chat and what we're going to
do is from here you're going to click on
this 3 bar is three dots here click on
that and then we're going to go to
settings and then we'll click on general

backup restore chat right here going to
click on this
ok now you have two options are backup
restore this one is the back it up now
and would be uploaded two weeks had
server for seven days and then once that
it's a backed-up we log onto this phone
we chat and then we click on restore so
good we'll go ahead and click on backup
and also from here
what's going to happen is this is a
dummy account i have here just to set an
example
but if you have tons of messages you can
click whichever messages you want to
keep to retain the data all the pictures
that were basically in that particular
chat message so i only have one user on
here but I mean you have a bunch of you
can also click select all and select the
mall where you can select each one
individually so i select the only one
that I basically have and this is only a
two hundred sixty five kilobytes i'm
going to click done and it says here i
have the option to secure backup with a
password it's okay i'm not going to do
that i'm going to go ahead and straight
upload it gets a little while another
thing is I want to have 256 kilobytes
but I mean if you have I did it on my
another phone and had like
six hundred fifty megabytes I mean it
took me that it took like two hours to
upload so
okay great so it's completed chat
history is only stored for seven days
so basically you have to restore it on
to your other phone or your other
devices tablet or ipad within seven days
ok so now what I'm going to do is I'm
going to log into my wechat on here on
this other phone
okay so check this out now I never log
into my we shot on this phone here
so when I opened up we chat what it's
going to do it's going to ask me for to
basically to like login so what I have
to do actually is a switch my sim card
