Need to record a video from your computer
screen?
There are many reasons you may need desktop
screencast for: to demonstrate to your friends,
clients or family how to use a particular
application, to make a video guide or a let’s-play video,
or simply to record videos from your
browser.
Whatever the purpose, by watching this tutorial
you’ll learn how to record and edit screencasts
using Movavi Screen Capture Studio.
Step 1. Open the Movavi Screen Capture Studio program
If the software is not already installed on
your computer, click here and follow the onscreen
download and set-up instructions.
Step 2. Set the Recording Parameters
The yellow frame next to the Screen Capture window
determines what’s captured.
Click the Set Capture Area button and simply
select the window for capturing.
You can also choose a preset for the capture
area from the list, or adjust it manually
by pulling on the edges of the frame.
If you want to record the video with sound,
make sure the green check mark appears by
the speaker icon.
You can also record narration for your screencast
by selecting the microphone icon and choosing
the appropriate voice recording device.
Finally, if you want to show cursor movements
and mouse clicks in the video, go to the cursor options.
Click the Record Keystrokes button if you
want to show which keys should be pressed
on the keyboard.
Step 3. Start Recording
Click the REC button or press F10 to start capturing.
There’s a 5-second countdown before the
program starts recording.
You can control the recording process by clicking
F9 to pause or F10 to stop.
Step 4. Edit and Save the Video
When you click F10, the Edit and Save menu opens.
You can just save the recorded video by clicking
the Save button after choosing the format.
